Interesting... We still haven't made it to Foxwoods, CT yet.
We had plans to visit before Covid hit. This will be good for Biloxi.

I hope they plan their Biloxi property better than the Connecticut property.

My opinion of the original Foxwoods property, was that once the main casino was built, they continues to build on and build on (as they became more successful) in a seemingly haphazard way.

Not to say that the property is unattractive, but there are times when I'd be walking along, and something just didn't "seem right", it's like they just "added" a section here, and a section there . . . JMHO.

I hope that they do build it. I would definitely go there.

Have you ever been to The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa?
One day they build an escalator and the next... poof it's gone!
One day they build a new restaurant then poof it's gone and they build yet another one.
And by gone I don't mean the space is repurposed. I mean it's gone!
It's crazy over there but at least they aren't afraid to spend money on improvements.

From what I have heard, this Biloxi/Foxwoods project was going to happen and then it fizzled. I don't know what happened.Too bad! I have been to the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut a lot and it is very nice. It has a number of fun casinos, great restaurants, very nice rooms, shows... They comp good too. It is a huge resort though and you do have to have strong legs.

I have lived here on the MS Gulf Coast for three years and have not heard any news of this project since we got here. (2018) OTOH - there was a big announcement in October 2020 about the Universal Music Group building a 1.2 Billion dollar entertainment complex on the former Broadwater hotel property consisting of 266 acres. (the area across the highway from the old President Casino location for you old dogs familiar with Biloxi) Universal Music Group has properties such as Capitol Records, Def Jam Records, and Abbey Road Studios under their corporate umbrella. The development will include a casino and luxury hotel but will also include concert venues and other entertainment options. UMG has plans to build three of these entertainment complexes. The other two are in Atlanta and Orlando. It will be interesting to see if this huge project comes to fruition. I walk right past the property six days a week on my morning walk. They began cleaning the underbrush and small trees out last fall but thankfully left almost all the old oak trees scattered across the property.

That is precisely what they've done. It is a bit maddening.
