    My Trip Report

Just returned from a nice weekend stay at the Four Winds in Michigan. I played a lot of Pai gow poker. And a couple of situations arose that I want to throw out for thought.
Situation1. Player asks for table advise. Said they have a full house and AK to put up on top. I said to put the pair up top and keep the 3 oak in back. The dealer agreed. The dealer had a straight on the bottom and the player pushes. I felt bad that the pair was 2's having known that I would have told them to keep the full house together and play the AK.
Situation 2.The dealer has KQ on top and AA on the bottom with the Joker being 1 of the aces. Using the joker the dealer also has a straight A,joker,3,4,5. But the dealer did not realize this. I said something about it the dealer overheard me and corrected the hand to reflect the straight, causing me to lose the hand. The other players were not affected by the play.
    .
My question is? Do I say something in both cases or keep my mouth shut.

Don't feel bad about #1, they asked. They also gave you incomplete info, and you answered the best you could as did the dealer.

#2 If it just affects you, that's fine. If it affects others negatively though, expect to get flak for it.

Glad you enjoyed Four Winds overall! That is really a nice casino. I wouldn't mind making another visit the next time I'm in the Chicagoland area.

OP, did you have a comped room? Were you there 2 nights? We spent a couple of hours there between xmas and new years and really liked the place. My only complaint about it is for VP you have to play $7 per point! Yikes!!! I guess we played enough to get some FP though. We just have not taken advantage of it yet.

Maybe not this year. Looking forward to 2021!

Yes we received 2 nights free, $60 free play, and 2 free buffets. We have given them good play and they have rewarded us nicely. We like the Four Winds. It's a beautiful facility with all the games.

Thanks, Tring. Thankfully I was the only one affected in the 2nd situation. Everyone else lost either way.
