    Hey everyone,

I am planning an upcoming trip, and am evaluating some offers. I received a discounted rate from the 4Qs for $25 Sun-Thurs and Fri-Sat $55.
I always have my play evaluated by a host at the end of a trip and am wondering roughly the daily VP play required to comp a night.

I determined that Boyd (from my experiences) is about $3000 VP coin in a day.

    Any info would be great.

And I do not chase comps, but I try to play where I stay to get max value

    Cheers

I have found the 4 queens to be more generous than the Gold Coast.

Love that comment. That's pretty smart. Way too many people play for comps and cost themselves lots of cash for a 'free' room.

Sorry I didn't answer your question though.

I think I also need to consider game selection for this trip,

If I wanna play JOB then MSS

Deuces = Either place with an emphasis on 4Qs as its available at the bars

    BP or DDB = 4Qs

3K a day should get your room covered at 4Q.

They have JOB too, just not at a bar.

    Thanks Flusher,

Which place have you found easier to deal with comp wise, do you have a preference?

Four Queens is very generous with room comps. Based on my experience, you could probably play $1k coin in a day and still get mailers. Depending on the time of year and how much you play offers range from discounted rooms to comp rooms plus free play. All for low rolling. As of my last trip, they had 9/6 JoB on the floor.

I love to play the VP at Boars Head in MSS, but free rooms are definitely easier at Four Queens.

    Thanks for the info!

This trip will probably my last for a good while, so I'm not concerned about future mailers, I am more interested in getting current rooms comped. I am familiar with the boyd process at MSS, and can usually expect them to pick up a couple nights on those days with moderate play ($3k coin in).

I may focus more on higher volatility games this trip, so the Queens may be a better choice. I play JOB only because they have FP at Boar's, but I am finding it increasingly boring.

When I first started coming to Vegas, upon check in, I was handed an envelope, either at the check in desk with my room key or sometimes by my host. It basically outlined what their expectations were for me to continue to get comped rooms and food. At that time I think it was 4 hours of table play at an average bet of $25 or something like that. It made it very transparent for me to understand what I needed to do.

Now, I cant even get hosts to tell me what is expected. They all say something to the effect of "just keep playing like you normally do and we will comp your room and food and whatever else". Problem is, I have no idea what I normally do. I dont know how many hours of blackjack, bacc, or carny games I play. I dont even know how much vp I play. I just bounce around and do my thing. I am definitely cognizant of giving the casino I am staying that trip the majority of my play. But since they didnt set any expectations, I just play how much I want and dont worry about it at all.
