Howdy! I have a trip planned for the end of June and I’m a bit confused as to what room type I’m booked into. I used a birthday promo so I’m getting the room comped, a little bit from FP, with a dash of RC.

My confusion is with the room type, it’s showing up as “dlx king” but I can’t seem to find any rooms with with word “deluxe” on their website. Any insight would help.

You might be right, I didn’t even look at suites. Not sure if it makes a difference but when I originally called and gave them the offer code they had to transfer me to “vip” for some reason.

If that is it I wouldn’t mind being downgraded lol

DLX KING N/S probably this one. I had a booking which I just changed. It was for a Go Room King non-smoking with no other description. When i inquired it seemed like it was like a basic run of house Go room. It gets assigned when you check in.

I changed my room to a strip view room (they had strip view and high roller view) and it came with this code LUXURY QNS N/S.

It could also be a fab room, or the new flamingo room.

From my understanding when the word "dlx" is used it simply means that there is no view.

    Call flamingo and ask.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a basic non view room, which i am fine with. I’m turning 30 during the trip so I won’t be spending much time in the room. Probably gonna chase diamond while I’m there since the promotions in June are looking pretty sweet.

I ended up calling and I kid you not I was told “it’s one of our nicest rooms on the property”, I’m in sales so I read through the BS.

I know you already have your room booked, sorry I'm a new member so I just saw this. I have stayed at Flamingo many times and been in a lot of the rooms. Half of those times I was pleased, half of those times I was extremely disappointed. I really hope they give you a remodeled room. I went in February 2017, I had a great comp for a DLX KING N/S and it was awful. I always take caution when I book Flamingo, so I was hoping for the best. However, I'm telling you this not to scare you, but to give you advice. If you face this same situation, go to the front desk and complain. I complained and handed the woman $20.00 and got a great upgrade, strip view, suite. It wasn't amazing, but it was exactly what I needed to get me through the rest of the trip. When you book Flamingo on Total Rewards you can "Click" preferences: Non-Smoking, Newly Renovated, Etc...I strongly suggest that. Also, one thing to always remember...Never book a FAB room, I have never had a good experience with those and they are the oldest(maybe some have been remodeled, but I wouldn't chance it.) GO Rooms are the better basic rooms. So if always remember GO over FAB. I hope this information helps. Don't be scared to give the front desk $20.00 either when you check in or if you want an upgrade. I have read up on the "20 Dollar Trick" and it works! Just fold the 20 with your credit card and say, "Do you happen to have any upgrades?" If they have some they will upgrade you and 99% of the time for free. If they don't have any available they will slide the 20 back to you(this happened to me once.) If you have anymore questions let me know! Have an awesome trip and enjoy Flamingo! It truly is the best location on the strip and one of the last original Vegas hotels.

I’ve always booked a renovated Go room & have always been happy with them. Now there showing renovated Flamingo Executive room. Has anyone stayed in these & are they comparable to the renovated Go rooms?
