So on a whim, we did two nights at Flamingo. Arrived Sat/10th and departed Mon/12th. First stop was Frankies Tiki Room. Rebel gas is next door and I filled the car for the trip home(I hate stopping for gas on the way out of town) prior to my Fink Bomb followed by my Thurston Howl. We also picked up four of the new Mai Tai glasses. The etching on my original glasses had basically faded. Only two drinks and off to Flamingo, I did not want to be faded. Arrived at Flamingo about 2:30, room was ready. Jr. Suite on the 6th floor Spa Tower, facing pool/habitat area. Room was actually quite nice. End of the hall, but I had just made the resi's Thursday. Wife and I needed a change of pace from Paris/Ballys and Flamingo fit the bill. That said, next trip back to Paris. Wandered to Cromwell and redeemed my four drink tickets. Had a Old Fasioned, no Buffalo Trace at bar, but he did use Woodford Reserve that I called. Wife was drinking Tanqueray and soda. Took our drinks outside for a bit just to take it all in. Ran 200 thru Pompei fairly quickly and no hits to speak of. Headed over to Ballys promenade in search of some quick eats, but fairly crowded. Headed back towards Flamingo and ended up at Carlos n Charlies. Never been and not what I would usually consider. Wife needed something besides alcohol and so did I. Settled on chips and queso dip which was very good. Also shared the cheese enchilada plate/meh. The waiter kept our water glasses filled, needed to hydrate. The food served it's purpose and we were ready for a few more drinks. Bounced around the Flamingo casino till about 8:00. Slots were not really willing to give any play. I enjoy slots and know they are the worst bet in the casino but it was just ridiculous. Headed up to the room and partied there. Did head down to Johnny Rockets about 11:00 to pick up some burgers. I like JR's burgers especially after throwing back a fair amount of drinks. Sunday am, woke up no worse for wear. Resi's tonight at Bugsy and Meyers. Hit up Chayo for breakfast. Decent, tequila sunrises were good. Wife and I both had the traditional American breakfast. Wife shopped in the promenade area after brekky. I went and took more abuse from the Linq slots. My wife finished her shopping at the same time I walked out of Linq. Wife stayed on in the Flamingo casino. I took her bags upstairs and took a little snooze. Made a few more runs downstairs at Flamingo and continued brutality. Important to say, losing aside, I am having a great time. Wife not having any luck either. Bugsy and Meyers. Really enjoyed the dinner here. French onion soup for me, wife had the coconut shrimp for apps. We both ordered the rib cap/DELICIOUS! Sides were mushrooms and the truffle potatoes. Bottle of cab with dinner and creme brulee for dessert. I really enjoyed the meal here. I've dined at all of CETs steakhouses and would gladly dine here again. The regular bar at Bugsy and Meyers also accepts the drink vouchers. There is also a speakeasy in the back that looked interesting but not open on Sunday night. Also there is a men's and women's bathroom in the restaurant. Just and FYI. Also, and I swear this is true. I saw a 3:2 $15 BJ table at Flamingo on Sunday morning. Did not see how many deck shoe cuz I just glanced (twice, to make sure) at the table passing bye. Anyway, a little more failed slotting then back up to the room around 10:00. The smoke gets to us so we don't spend a lot of what others consider "prime time" in the casino. The 6th floor btw which was non-smoking, weed was strong in the air. I prefer edibles myself. Did not bother with the casino Monday morning. Out the door by 10am and home by 2:30. Awesome time overall. Two nights is too quick, we usually stay 3 minimum. Next time will be back to Paris and 3 nights.
No worries, we appreciate you taking the time to post any pictures! It helps pass the time as we anxiously await our next trip...le sigh...
