The Flamingo has serious check in issues in my experience, I use the Diamond Check In, last time there was only one lady in front of me, she took atleast 20 minutes to get checked in, and it took them about 20 minutes to check me in as well. I asked if they had a free room upgrade and the guy took FOREVER finding out, the answer was no, I think he just wanted it to seem like he was actually trying.
I'm a lowly gold tier card status holder and stayed at Flamingo for the first time ever this past Saturday. On the morning prior to arrival I received an email to check in online which I did and received an email prior to check in that all I needed to do was go to the kiosk to obtain my room key. Upon arrival I followed the instructions on the kiosk to scan my drivers license which I did but the kiosk would not spit out my room key so I went to the "key and mail" line which had 1 person ahead of me which only took 5 minutes until I got called next. The receptionist was able to get my room key lickety split. Upon check out I used the kiosk which printed out my receipt and I then deposited my room key in a box next to the kiosk. Very convenient and easy to use the kiosk with the exception of not being able to get my room key upon check in.
