My first Vegas trip of 2017 and the first time I'm attempting to do a trip report...let's see how this goes!

Plans for the trip include:

  • Finally checking out the newly refurbished Augustus Tower
  • High Limit Slots and VP
  • Using my $100 diamond meal credit at Old Homestead
  • CET Quest (Possibly excluding Rio if I'm feeling lazy)
  • Deciding if I can handle only three days in Vegas after travelling over 8 hours to get there from the UK!
I'm flying with Norwegian Airlines for the first time, they offer super low fares from the U.K. to the USA (approximately £400 return) and I'm staying at Caesars for my whole stay comped.

February 13th

Have just checked in for my flight at Heathrow to find that my departure has been delayed until 1pm UK time. Means an approximate arrival at Vegas at around 4pm. I did however book a premium seat for the flight out (due to my stay being short I want to minimise the jet lag!) and so have lounge access...more time to chill in the lounge I guess!

My journey to the airport was pretty good, but did get stuck in traffic for a good while. It's also really cold here in London, so looking forward to the sun in Vegas. It's probably gonna feel super warm to me, even at night!

I'll update again shortly, or when I have something interesting to share

Looking forward to the updates, my shortest trip to Vegas from the UK was 4 days, I will be interested to hear your thoughts on 3 days, I'm often tempted. IMO 3 nights is better than nothing.
Good Luck!!

Well I've successfully arrived in Vegas! We were delayed by an hour or so, but this was my first time flying to Vegas on a Boeing Dreamliner and I was really impressed with the plane. Loads of leg room and very cool how the windows can be dimmed, allowing me to get some sleep on the plane.

I got super lucky with border control this time around, I exited the plane at 4pm and was outside by 4.15pm waiting for my Bell Trans VIP shuttle. I really rate the VIP shuttle service, I've never had to share yet, this time I had a nice SUV that took my straight to the Augustus Tower entrance of Caesars.

No line in Diamond check in, and I was able to get the room I wanted in the Augustus Tower, I'd originally reserved a room with two queen beds, as this was all that was available, but managed to get this switched to a King Size at check in. I'm really impressed with these rooms, I got a room on the 45th floor.

I'm just catching my breath, it's currently 1.46am in the UK, but I'm gonna head down to the casino shortly

Well last night was pretty crazy, but I managed to win enough to pretty much cover my costs this trip, yay for HL VP! I was up to about $6000 but burned around $2000 through HL WOF...cashed for the night at $4000.

On the plus side, I did also make Diamond in a day, so I'm sorted through to January 2019.

Here's some highlights (when I remembered to take photos!):
