Forgive me, I'm not a professional reviewer or writer but here it goes... DANG it's long.....sorry.... shorter version at the bottom LOL....

Arrived in Vegas Thurs. 3/27 around 11 am friend "A" picked me up. Really impressed how easy that huge airport is to navigate. Went straight to the hotel, MGM Signature, hoping for early check-in... which we received no problem. After marveling at our awesome suite & balcony, we managed to make it all the way to Paris haha, stopping by M&M World and several other places in between before we decided to go back and check out the MGM Grand. Grabbed a philly cheese steak from Nathan's. I know it sounds lame, but we turned in early to prepare for the rest of the trip. Good thing, too, as I sat by the toilet for 2 hours that night wishing I could just throw up and get back to sleep! I had drank nothing! Probably just nerves and excitement! All better the next day.

Friday we grabbed a cab to Fremont. Pigged out on the breakfast buffet at Golden Nugget. Watched everyone having fun at their pool with the nice slide through the aquarium. That looks like a ton of fun. We walked around checking different casinos & souvenir shops. A local overheard us talking and gave us instructions about the Duece. What were we thinking with the cab? $5 to go everywhere? Now that's what I'm talkin about. Hopped the Duece down to Slots-O-Fun. No luck getting a low limit BJ table. That place is popular! So on to the Bellagio. HAD to see the conservatory & butterfly house. It was beautiful! Toured the art exhibit which included pieces from O'Keefe & Webber. On our way out, we caught the fountain show. Made our way to Margaritaville... my hubby loves Jimmy so had to stop in for some souvenirs. Then made our way all the way back to the hotel room for dinner at Fiamma and a rest before we had to pick up friend "B" at the airport at midnight. Fiamma was delicious!!

Side Note: United airlines suck! Had problems from day one. Long story... but be careful when buying a ticket for a friend. They 'randomly' require the credit card used & the credit card holder to confirm at the nearest United counter before that person can board the flight. Not a problem for most people, but we live over 2 hours from the nearest. Secondly... her flight was delayed 2 hours out of SFO... which she didn't find out till after she checked her bag. So they allowed her to get on an earlier flight, but her bag was on the later flight and they totally refused to bring it to the hotel or to even allow our bell hop to pick it up the next day. And to top the cake, her flight out was delayed as well. But it was only 30 min or so, but still... she had a LONG drive afterward and any delay was aggravating.

But back to the regularly scheduled program.... After we got her back to the hotel around midnight and she marveled at our suite, we took a walk to the Tropicana, Excalibur, NY NY, then finally pooped out around 3 am.

Sat.... spent a good piece of the morning trying to get her luggage to the hotel. The staff at the Sig. worked VERY hard for us, but United was an ass and we wound up going to get it ourselves. By the time we got back and showered, it was time for friend A to head home to Bakersfield. Friend B & I decided to throw a little money in the slots to no avail. Then we decided it was pool time. While there, we were approached by a TAO club promoter and got our name on the guestlist. So when they ran us off from the pool we decided to nap before our night out. And good thing we did!!!

We started getting text messages from another TAO club promoter.... We'll call him 'Joe"... are you coming? be here at 10:30... call me when you get here... My friend and I are a little freaked out by this attention, but we said what the heck, we're in Vegas right? So we get all prettied up, get the the Venetian and get Joe on the phone. He puts us in the the 'VIP' line and about 5 min. later escorts up into the club. It was PACKED! You could barely move. But we found a nice spot by the reserved tables that a bouncer was nice enough to let us hang out and sit a while. My friend, being the party girl, spent a long time on the cat walk dancing. I was the one mostly sitting! LOL Joe calls us around 11:30 and says come up to the 'beach'.... Another level of many levels of this club. It's not so packed up there. Joe buys us a drink and introduces us to some other people... more promoters and waitresses. Found me another 'reserved' spot to park my butt between dances and continued to have a grand time. After lots of dancing, chatting, and drinking... it was time to call it a night around 2:15.

Sunday... I'm so tired by this time... things are beginning to blur so I'll probably forget a lot.... Our plan WAS to hang out by the pool again but 30 mph winds ALL day put a stop to that! So more casino touring and slots it was! I mostly remember the Luxor & Mandalay Bay this day. Checked out a lot of the shops that were somewhere in that maze of hotel/casinos. Made our way back to MGM and had dinner at Diego. Delicious!!

Monday... Pigged out at the MGM's grand buffet for breakfast. Then we finally had our pool day! It wasn't very crowded and the weather was perfect. Being a porcelain person, I was only able to be there a couple hours. We called the front desk and asked for some more towels & water. 5 min later this nice, very bubbly guy from house keeping shows up and starts giving us info on his favorite place to hang out... Pampas, a brazilian restaurant in the miracle mile shops. $1 drinks... who can refuse? So we clean up and head to Pampas, which awesomely is like a block away from the Sig. Sure enough, there's our buddy that works at the hotel and the bartender he bragged about and our $1 drinks that weren't watered down like the ones you get while gambling. We were there for over 2 hours drinking and carrying on... the bartender was awesome... he can make drinks to taste. So if you have a drink that no one can make taste like the first one you had... just head there and this guy will hook you up! We ordered some appetizers, which was a full meal for us girls. Left there wasted, full and extremely happy with a check for $13!!!!! Of course we tipped the bartender more than we tipped everyone for the whole trip added up!!! Well deserved!

Then off to put on our clubbing clothes and head to the Playboy club. This was my friend's goal for the trip. She loves the bunnies! We ran into a bunch of drunk high-rolling guys in the elevator on the way up who decided they were buying all our drinks for the evening. Wow the luck!! But being a Monday night, the place was a little dead. Not so much a club, but more of a gambling lounge. But WOW at the view! After some nice chatting with those group of guys and waaaaay too much alcohol, we headed back around 2am.

Tues. this was our leaving day. We had flights out at noonish so we wouldn't have to wake up before dawn. The front desk checked us in to our flights and printed our boarding tickets. Held our bags while we grabbed some Starbucks right there in tower 1 and took tons of pics of the towers. And of course we talked to a manager about the wonderful guy from housekeeping who made our Monday!

Cabbed it to the airport and shopped a bit since we got there so stinking early. It was all I could do not to go crazy at the Swarovski shop!!!

I got home around 9pm and started repaying the sleep tab my body likes to keep. 2 nights and it's almost repaid!

Let me try and get a short version in here for those who hate reading as much as I do...

MGM Signature 15th floor tower 3.... WONDERFUL HOTEL! Treated like royalty... only way to describe it. If you can get the INSANE deal we got from an owner, it's well worth it. I've stayed in MANY hotels all over the country... NONE top this one. The view from our balcony was probably breathtaking 6 months ago.. but they are now building something right in the line of sight of the eiffel tower! :( But it was still really nice.

Fiamma: Italian rest. in MGM Grand... YUMMY! Good cocktails. VERY fresh food!

Diego: Mexican rest. in MGM Grand.... YUMMY! Just had an appetizer and soup... but that's a lot of food for 2 women.

Pampas: Brazilian rest. in Miracle Mile shops right on Harmon. Ave. YUMMY! Sat at the bar for $1 drinks. Had appetizer and samples from the guys walking around with meat on sticks. GREAT people work there!

TAO: Nightclub in the Venetian. Rocking good time on a Sat. But be ready to rub bodies with hundreds of strangers just to get to the bar.

Playboy Club: Top of the Palms. GREAT view. More of a lounge on Mon. night. I hear they open the roof in the summer.

Pics to follow when I figure it out....

And I'm really sorry I didn't get to hang out with you guys/gals... maybe when my husband and I make our trip it'll be different!

It sounds like you had a great time . . . . did you win anything at the slots or playing BJ?

:haha:

This report really is helping me get in the mood for a few weeks down the road. Pampas, huh? Added to my list of possible stops. Thanks for the report.

(Isn't it odd how good looking women somehow leave Vegas with free drinks and club promoters offering them VIP?:angel:;)

Great report; and, it sounds like you had an absolute blast. There's nothing wrong with being one of the beautiful people.

Fun trip report. Sounds like you enjoyed your first trip! I'm so glad to hear you say good things about Pampas. We're going to Vegas in May and this is one place we're planning on dining, as we love Brazilian steakhouses! So, thanks for the tip!

did you win anything at the slots or playing BJ?
NADA! I never have any luck gambling... but I can't complain as we still had a blast!

Yeah, for skinny women...
Oh trust me... I can put away some food!

There's nothing wrong with being one of the beautiful people.
Dang... never have I been treated like one or remotely thought I was one. I think the shock of it was the whole excitement for me!! My friend stays in the gym and has had a couple things, um, altered if you can tell what I mean... so I'm crediting her for most of the attention. But I don't care!! WOOHOO

Yes, I HIGHLY recommend Pampas. If you see the bald guy in the pic above sitting at the bar... please tell him the Kentucky and California girls said hello!

Loved the TR -- what fun! Glad you had a great trip.

Chelle thanks for a great trip report! Sounds like your first trip to Vegas was a great one!

Thanks for the write up Chelle.

Too bad you all didn't get to at least swing by and say hello at the Party friday night... maybe next time!
