enjoyed the report and all those great pictures... btw, I would have never paid to upgrade the room - the free room you had was beautiful!

A very pleasant trip report to read and view - great pics ! Tacos at Tacos el Gordo and the number 1 Italian sand-guich at Port of Subs are on my radar for next trip out !!.

Great pictures, tks for posting! I’ve stayed a few times at the Wynn and love the rooms, I’m not one to spend a LOT of time in them but if I feel just relaxing and resting than they’re great, very comfortable. I need to look into just how special that upgrade to Encore is, I would have probably stayed in the standard room like you guys...

What a nice trip with your family! I've put that new tacos place and the Japanese restaurant on my list of places to try. Love okonomiyaki!

Great report as always!! Your reports are always great to read. And awesome pictures as well. And I agree with you about the Wynn. Yes, it's a beautiful property, the rooms are nice and all, but the location of it makes it undesirable for me, even for free. I would rather stay at Paris, PH, Bally's, etc, where my rooms are comped as well, but the location of these hotels make all the difference to me, especially when not renting a car. And the rooms are pretty nice as well. Always clean and comfortable. That's all I need for the few hours I spend in the room anyway.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!

I forgot to mention the Encore room would have come with a $50 breakfast voucher every day. Also, I checked out the Encore rooms online and they offer a more modern decor than those at Wynn... They look really cool!

On the "cons" side, it would have been an ever farther walk to everything from Encore than Wynn.

After a little more contemplation, ultimately I'm happy I didn't do the upgrade. Someday maybe.
