Went out to Vegas to see a concert at the Cosmo this past weekend. Stayed off-strip due to high prices at hotels near the venue. Decided to skip the whole rental car debacle and use Lyft exclusively. Took at least eight Lyft rides.
In then end, I paid less to use Lyft than I would have for a rental car - less than $100 all in. I didn't have to deal with wasted time on the rental car shuttle or at the rental car facility. I didn't have to worry about drinking and driving, parking garage fees, or my liability for a rental car. I never waited more than seven minutes for a driver to arrive. I highly recommend it.
The only downside is that it's a bit of crazy picking the car up in the garage on level 2M at the airport. There are lots of folks and lots of drivers out there trying to connect. They've tried to create an organized system with marked, numbered parking spots for the Lyft/Uber drivers, but the system is new and drivers are still getting used to it as well. It's a bit of a cluster, but not too bad once you understand the system for finding your driver.
