Hey, I'll be getting there Thursday for the same thing. :)
Might hit up the craps table after the keynote, and before my corp has it's dinner that night.

You will have a wonderful time on your own. Once people hear your accent they will all talk to you. However, never let on you're on your own unless you trust who you are talking to. Don't worry about anyone finding out your name from a players card or another way, they will never get in your room. To get a room key they would have to show photo ID or be accompanied to the room by security and know what was in there. Never gonna happen. Ask for a room close to the elevator. When I'm on my own they always do this. Deuce is very safe safe but I'm not sure I would want to go on the locals buses by myself. If you are flying direct then pay extra for exit seats whenever you can get them online (BA is exactly 14 days to the time of the flight, not sure about Virgin). Well worth the extra money. Get a seat at the front of the plane. Customs can be long in Vegas. Enjoy.

I'm flying with Virgin ( I work for them so get discount - yay! haha)

I booked seats in the bubble after reading a few things online? Window seat in the first couple of row upstairs so not sure if we depart first, or last? If anyone knows that would be great :)

Mandarin bar is really nice. Great views especially at around dusk. I think its one of the few non smoking bars on the strip.

The times I have flown with Virgin they seem to let off the passengers from the bubble first. I work for a Virgin company as well (Trains)
