I have booked Vegas for 9th October 2014. First time for me and my wife. Can't wait! Staying at Caesars , have upgraded to Forum Tower but hoping to try the $20 or $50 trick at check in....

Congrats! Definitely try the upgrade trick. I've done it with $20 and $50 before and received great upgrades.

Starting out at Caesars your first trip is awesome but it does set the bar pretty high for any returning visits :wink Caesars has been on my bucket list for the past 35 years. Hopefully someday I will make it. Always try the $20/50 trick, at worst the will just say no. Good luck to you and your wife. I hope you will love it as much as the rest of us Vegas junkies around here.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I thought the fact we are travelling 14 hours to get there we had to do go for the best we could afford, so Caesars it is!
Planning on seeing Penn and Teller, plus one big show and possibly doing the Grand Canyon Helicopter trip. Not gonna over-plan though, the rest of the time we will just take it as it comes...

    Welcome to the boards.
    Oct seems far away.
Since it is your first trip you may want to plan a practice trip to Vegas a bit earlier. :wink2:

Welcome and enjoy Caesars.!!! How long are you staying and what are some things you want to do, like see a show, shop, any other thing planned such as tours of Grand canyon etc.? Buffet's, etc.? All of us here on the board can offer suggestions and our personal favorites, just ask.

Hi, yes hopefully see one of the big shows at Caesars, but it's too far away to book for October just now. My wife has already got her eye on the shops at Forum in Caesars.

We won't be gambling all day so what is the drink prices like as we are Scottish so we do like to drink a fair bit haha?!
