My vote goes to Wynn/Encore. Wynncore comes as close to perfection as a resort can be. As much as I love the Cosmo rooms with a fountain view terrace, Aria SkySuites, and Bellagio Suites with a fountain view, I can not spend more than 2 days at a different resort on any 6 day stay in Vegas.

I have a 2 day Cosmo, 4 day Wynn trip coming up this summer, but I am already debating whether I should change it to a 1 and 5 day stay...

I stayed at Wynn on my first trip in 2005. Zero regrets. I've been back to Vegas about 40 times in the last 15 years, stayed at pretty much every hotel up and down the Strip, and I still consider Wynn the top of the pile.

I don't think you would have an issue with location as it's your first trip so no matter where you stay you will most likely find yourself discovering all areas of the Strip, so a lot of walking is a given.

The pool area is top notch, beautiful, quiet, not many kids (if any).

Some of the other hotels are nice, but not Wynn nice.

Looking forward to reading about your first trip... I imagine Vegas will hook you like it has everyone else on VMB :)

    Have a great trip!

Haven't read all 4 pages of the thread, but have you heard about the Wynn Slots app? If you go on a heater, you might be able to get at least one night free, which would save you $, then you can use the savings for a nice and romantic meal with the wifey.

Also, how old are you and what is the occasion for this trip? That can play a factor. For example, if you are in your 20's and still party like there's no tomorrow, then I'd advise you to consider a place like Planet Hollywood.

@Flowers or anyone else on the board I am in search of having the Burger that Wynn Country Club used to serve up. In fact I crave it often and am wondering if the chef went to anywhere else on the strip. Wasn't sure where to post this but thought I would try here. TIA

It may depend on when you had it. The Country Club changed executive chefs I want to say at least 2-3 years before The Country Club closed. The original executive chef’s name is Carlos Guia, who’s currently at the Aria/Vdara as the Executive Chef of Food and Beverage. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have his own restaurant, but maybe Aria’s room service will have a similar burger?

I like Wynncore and V/P equally.

V/P does have the full gambit of food options which is better.

Wynn although I haven't stayed at V/P yet...

We are mobile too and we didn't mind the walking to get to center strip Cosmo etc... In fact it felt easier than coming from the other side Mandalay Bay at times..

    Either one...ENJOY!!!

I like the Signature at the mgm, it’s reasonably priced, great rooms and service. But it’s at the end of the strip. If you get a balcony suite it has a kitchen, two bathrooms and I’ve paid under 200 a night.

having said that I love the cosmo and the Wynn is suppose to be beautiful, the Venetian is huge with plenty of things to do food and shopping wise.

It's not fair to compare the Venetian to Wynn. Venetian vs. CP maybe

I don't understand all the love that Aria gets. I stayed there and thought the hotel/casino felt exactly like an airport, very cold and sterile, and the shopping area looks exactly like an old 80's mall. I spend as little time there as I had to each day. The rooms were nice but the whole rest of the property felt extremely uncomfortable to me.

Wynn and V/P were exactly the opposite for me. I would choose either of them, or Bellagio.

IMO Wynn is a small step above Venetian.
But the Venetian or Palazzo basic room is much nicer than a CP Augustus tower room.
But all 3 properties are very nice.

Hi @mickyblueeyes. I don't know the answer to your question and though I haven't tried it I have heard good things about the burgers at the Charlie's sports bar in Wynn so maybe give that a try. I will be at Wynn for a short trip in a few days so if I have a chance I'll see what I can find out re: Charlie's.

I can vouch for Charlie’s burgers. They are very good. My wife thought the first one she had there was the best burger she ever had. I myself am actually partial to a greasy griddle burger myself, sort of like 5 guys burgers or within that genre but if you like a classy burger I think Wynn does a really good job at Charlie’s.

Parlour Suite is the best reasonably priced 1 bedroom suite Ive had in Vegas. Beautiful furniture , plush couch/chairs, amazing bed. Oh, and free coffee downstairs.
