I've heard lots of complaints about Pam, on-line and from friends. I also worked with Roxy and then switched to Jen this year.

Well, that's a good enough recommendation for me. Thanks

7 more shifts until our annual trip to the SP. Won't bash any of the hosts, but hasn't been the same since Nikki was promoted.

Wife and I have been Orleans regulars but a few years ago I was put up at SP when my Allegiant flight had a mechanical issue and I had to stay an extra night- I loved the place! We visited the casino/sports book last visit for an afternoon and my wife really liked it.

Long story short, we are coming for our first visit since COVID. Any experience with the Spa at SP? I am looking at perhaps booking a treatment for my wife since she won't get much pool time :)

@Bobby B, thanks for the recommendation on Jen Dean. We just got back on Thursday night and before we left I paid her a visit. She took care of all FB charged to the room (about $275) and two nights that we did not have comped out of five. I have her business card and will be calling her before our next visit!

Just a heads up, don’t totally shy away from Pam. I had booked a 2 weeknights comped offer, and a paid casino rate weekend night on my recent trip. When I stopped by the host office and discussed my play, she removed the charges for my weekend night. YMMV, but in the words of “The Frugal Gambler”, “it never hurts to ask”.

    I really like this place!

I've never stayed off strip but reading this thread l'm tempted to try South Point .

I'm seeing rates on SP website of $579 in total including taxes and charges for 3 nights in December ( Fri - Sat-Sun )

Does this seem expensive to stay at SP ?

Or is it a case of having to take the hit first time and hope for comps offer for future trips .

EDIT ,, just had another look at the Room Rate Calendar it seems the norm for weekends .

That's pretty pricy for SP. Not sure which weekend but the first two they host a huge rodeo and that's not the time you'd want to be there.

@Vegas Rob, If you book for that weekend, before you check out, check with a host to see if you can get a comp on the backend.

Is SP back to providing drink comps for Horse & Sports Bets?

Enjoyed my first stay at South Point 2 weeks ago. Not only was it my first stay at South Point, it was my first stay off the strip and I loved it. I enjoyed the food, the sports book, the Monday Night Football party, and the gambling was decent too. I have no desire to stay on the strip again! I want to thank those of you that gave me information on taking the bus to the strip. The directions regarding the transfers were spot on! That being said, the next time staying at South Point I will rent a car. The bus rides were exhaustingly long, sometime long waits for a bus and it did not always feel the safest, especially at the transfer station at 1 am where I hurriedly contacted Uber when I was told the next bus would be there in 54 minutes. It took nearly 45 minutes to get from the South Point to Mandalay Bay. Also, fyi, while downtown on a Saturday night, the cost for an Uber to SP was $76. Looking forward to my next visit
