    Hey everyone

I know there have been posts about the best places to play craps but looking to see if there are any you like that most people don't expect? I'm looking to venture out from my normal GG, D, Cromwell, and O'Sheas for once just to switch it up.

What are your thoughts or go to's for an upbeat lively game?

    Thanks!

The Rio? I've seen some fun tables there at @ $10 or 15 Couple times I have just stopped to watch..Once a guy rolled a hard six like three times in a row and the table was pretty wild about it.

Bellagio can be pretty fun! And you may surprised you can find a 10 or 15 dollar table there on weeknights

crews at Bellagio and Wynn some of the best. Wynn had a 10 dollar table on a Saturday morning as well. But it was dead just us playing.

Excalibur has a pretty fun game the times I’ve been. $5 minimum during the day. The last time I played one of the dealers was brand new and had to be watched like a hawk to ensure correct payouts. Which didn’t bother me. But the table is in a high traffic area and gets some spectators. Everyone drinking and having a good time was my experience.

One of the best rolls of of my life there however the heat was real. Halfway through my roll they switched all dice and crew. Pit bosses were grilling me galore. Had a blast with people on the table however they made my experience awkward.

I’m curious what kind of metrics management holds these crews to. Like are they going to be scolded because their table didn’t hold enough during their shift? Sweating action during any given roll or shift seems absurd to me. The law of large numbers is not a difficult concept to understand and is the guiding principle of gaming profits.

OP, ever tried any of the 3 Boyd properties Downtown? I noticed you visit GG and the D.

Aside from Fremont, the Cal and MSS are not under the Canopy. If you exit the back of Binions you can walk across Ogden and visit the Cal. The craps tables are straight ahead when you enter. MSS is about 3 minutes away walking by going up the Cal's mezzanine and walking across the overpass bridge that connect the two properties.

MSS is 20X odds by the way. All of them have $5 tables ( with one $10 table every now and then)

Fremont and the Cal are double odds, the only thing about them that sucks.

    I would say try MSS.

The dealers and boxmen are courteous and highly professional.

The 20X odds gives you a lot of leeway when things go your way, not like the other 2 properties that only offer double odds.

The players that frequent the tables are for the most part friendly or at least respectful and courteous to each other. Assholes and jerks are everywhere, and no place is immune but it is very rare to all 3 properties in my opinion.

Good Luck and hope you enjoy these places!

In terms of fun people, fun game and good crew, I would have to say New York New York is the best place to play craps. Very friendly touristy crowd, zero degens from what I've seen. I try to make it a point to play there every time.

The California downtown is one of my favorite craps haunts. Wear your Hawaiian shirt and you'll fit right in. Not sure about the "upbeat and lively" part, though.

Last couple trips I've had a good time playing at Park MGM early in the day, good crew, and funny pit bosses.
