I am heading back to the strip next month and would like to try a new cigar bar. For the last two years I have enjoyed the same spot at the Rhumbar but its time for something new.

What is your favorite cigar bar and why?

I like the Belagio. Good cigars. Good scotch selection. Nice surroundings. If you go at the right time of day there's live piano music.

Casa Fuente is a favorite of mine, very nice selection of cigars, patio you can sit, smoke, decent bar selection, great people watching.
Located in the Forum Shoppes on the end that has Joes Stone crab and across from the shop that sells sports memorabilia that has the old pros come in and sign. If you get dropped of by a cab tell him you want to go to the end closest to the strip not the underground drop off.

Casa is the best for the reasons stated. My number 2 would have been Rhumbar so there you go...I go out to LV several times a year and cigar smoking is always a key. I like both of these spots for the people watching (waitresses and passers-by) so when I am not at either of them I am usually at a casino bar for the same reason. I often enjoy the bar at Bellagio by the sportsbook and poker room or the bar at Venetian by the poker room for relaxing and people watching while I smoke. The only other thought would be the Linq open area if you want to be outside, relaxing and smoking. You can buy a drink and sit out there.

I appreciate the detailed post. I have actually created a spreadsheet of places that I want to visit while I am there. Both recommendations have been added!

I have been to Napoleans at Paris a few times, and while I know you can smoke cigars there, I am unsure if they actually sell cigars there. Since I am usually driving in from LA, i usually stop by Total Wine and pick up my cigars there, so I never really noticed if they sell cigars or not

Andre's at Monte Carlo has an upstairs cigar bar or did last time I went which was summer 2014. It's a very small place, decent selection, very poor ventilation but if you are walking thru MC you might want to check it out.

My favorite places to sit and have a Montecristo No 2 with friends:

    1. Skyfall Lounge balcony (used to be Mix Lounge), 64th floor at The Delano, attached to Mandalay Bay. Go well before 10pm, when it gets loud and clubby. Just before sunset is perfect. The elevator is a little hard to find, just ask someone concierge to point you the right direction. Haven't been there since they remodeled (just re-opened), but hopefully the balcony is still a go for cigar smoking. No people watching, but you can't beat the view.

    2. Seahorse Lounge, Caesar's Palace. Has long been my favorite people watching spot. Fairly spread out and never seems to be real crowded, so you're less likely to get frowning faces from your cigar smoke. Generally very attentive service here.

    3. The Chandelier Bar / Vesper Bar / Bond Bar at Cosmopolitan. All three might beat the Seahorse for people watching. If you can get a seat on the middle levels of The Chandelier, it's a wonderful setting. At the Vesper Bar, the combination of the music and the Yorgo Alexopoulos art installation is quite mesmerizing. Great people watching there if it's a concert night at the Cosmo. The Bond Bar has a view out onto the Strip, but tends to be completely empty before clubbing hours. And clubbing hours aren't a time to relax and have a cigar. Check all of them out and grab a seat at the one that looks best to you.

    4. Le Central, Paris. Another bar smack in the middle of the casino floor and a ton of foot traffic around it.

I haven't visited Rhumbar yet myself, but it's on the list for the next trip. I suspect it will be high on my list once I've experienced it.

I just saw that Davidoff opened a cigar bar at the Fashion Mall.

Thanks for that! From the pictures, it looks like it's right under the big flying saucer at the mall. Could be a great location, I'm definitely going to visit it.

I have mixed feeling about Casa Fuente. The staff was nice and helpful, decent scotch selection at the bar and the prices weren't bad. I just wasn't a huge fan of their cigars. I went with 2 friends and we each had a different cigar. None of us really enjoyed the cigars all that much. They were rolled extremely tight and were a very difficult draw. Also, don't expect a diverse selection of cigar brands there. They really only carry 3 or 4 of their own cigar brand. If you like the Fuente cigars then its great. If you don't care for his lineup then your experience won't be as good.

I've been. It's closer to the street. What was surprising was the poor ventilation. Don't think I'll go back

Is the one in the Paris mall Napoleans? They have a good cigar selection there and a little room off to the side to smoke. They also have dueling pianos at night in the main bar section but it gets extremely loud. Think rock concert volume..

Is it a specific place in the Bellagio, or you just like smoking at The Bellagio?

Has anyone been to Bourbon and Burlesque at MB? The reviews say its an unmarked place underneath the escalators, but it sounds like a cozy place to enjoy a nice bourbon cocktail and have a smoke.
