Well, my last trip was an epic 31 days, while this one is just a brief three weeks. I’m at Hobby Airport in Houston, ready to fly to Fort Lauderdale, where I board a ship there which will ultimately take us to Quebec City. From there, I fly to Vegas for five nights at Planet Hollywood. I’m traveling on the cruise with my brother and sister-in-law. I hope you will join me on this trip.

Thanks! I know that two of the ports that I have never been to are Norfolk and Rhode Island. Any recommendations for those ports?

Looking at your itinerary, I’ve been to all the ports after RI (starting with Boston). Send me a DM if you want any ideas about port activities.

I have the the ship’s internet on this trip, so I can post. We are on the second of two sea days. Tomorrow, we get to our first port- Norfolk VA. I played in the casino, the first night and it could have been better.

Yesterday, I got up about $70 for the day, and I figured that a small profit was better than turning it into a loss ( which is what I did in the first night). Never be afraid to walk away a winner.

Four days of gambling completed. One very slight up day. One almost completely break even day, one bad day and one very bad day.

Today is a sea day. While in Norfolk, I visited the Nautical museum which was attached to the USS Wisconsin. Interesting tour of the ship.

it looks like my last few posts were put in the wrong thread. Sorry about that. Recap is hit a 500X bonus on a $1.50 bet. Visited Vanderbilt mansions in New Port, RI.

Pet Peeve-Why do people leave their room service trays outside the door after they have finished. It is not a big deal for me to get around it. However, there are a number of people on cruise who use walkers and scooters that it would cause difficulty.

I have mounted a bit of a comeback the last few days. One day I broke even ( the casino was closed all day). Another I might have won $20, and today I’m up up a few hundred. Still down for the trip, but it is always nice to have an up day.

My best hit yesterday. Not huge, but decent for a 75 cents bet. In Halifax, I went to Immigration museum near ship, which was an educational experience. Today, we are In Sydney, Nova Scotia where it is a brisk 41 degrees, or roughly 50 degrees cooler than Texas.

Because they ask you to. There is a crew that is assigned to pick up service trays. They do not want the room stewards to pick up.

It may vary by cruise line, but on HAL, I believe you are supposed to call to have someone remove it from your room.
