Tricky one: Placed a bet @ the Bellagio bookie last February, for Super Bowl LIII almost 12 month down the road.
The ticket stub is almost completely faded already and certainly will not make it until February 2019.
I realize they used a type of fax paper that fades quickly.

Hopefully I will be able to get this rectified/ re-issued on my next trip in October. What if someone does not come back in time? I can't be the only one with this problem.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

Call them now, get their word!
Of course, from now on, always take a pic or copy.

FWIW, I havr cashed some seriously old and faded tickets in the past. I was surprised how well their machines can read those

Try keeping the ticket away from heat and light. I actually found an old "TITO" ticket from Harrahs in Las Vegas from 2016 along with a baseball bet I made that lost, but I could read them pretty well, but as soon as I kept them out in the light for about a week, they started to fade FAST, if you can keep them in a dark drawer, that seems to help preserve them. And if you bet on the Cowboys or Patriots, you might as well just throw it in the trash anyway lol

This happens all the time. Lady told me to put them in refrigerator! If you have a pic you will be fine.

How’s the barcode on the ticket? I think the machine scans the barcode to read your ticket so should be okay, someone correct me if I’m wrong:peace:

They have to actually win a game first for that to happen.

I had a betting ticket for the Dodgers to win the National League last year and had the ticket tucked away in my wallet and the code had faded to where I couldn't read it and when I went to cash it at the Cosmo I wasn't sure what they would do. One of the members on the staff took a lighter and held the flame a few inches beneath the ticket and the code re-appeared. He said it happens all the time with the thermal paper they use and took care of this with no issues. Just make sure you let the sports book guys do this for you.

    O.K....start the Dodger jokes :)

We bought one in June for the Super Bowl. Nice lady at the Plaza said to take a picture of it and keep in and envelope in a dark place. She said it would still fade but could use the faded ticket plus picture of ticket for proof.

Reading the title of the thread here and not knowing much about sports betting, I thought for sure that this was another one of those sports betting terms that I never understand (like teaser, parlay, etc.). And it was really about a faded ticket!
