In the Indian city of Belgaum, there's a man who loves cameras so much that he built a 3-story camera-shaped house. Not only that, but he also named his three sons Canon, Nikon and Epson.

In the early 1870s, the town of Palisades, Nevada, was a boom town on the route of the recently opened Union/Central Pacific Transcontinental Railroad. Resident amateur thespians were known to "entertain" travelers riding on the westbound trains by exposing them to some realistic Wild West "culture", as the trains stopped in the town, in the form of very realistically staged gunfights, drunken brawls and live-action stagecoach robberies. Passengers were not informed that these were staged. The practice faded around 1880. Now mapped as Palisade (no trailing "s"), the town's population is currently less than 10 permanent residents.

For a change, I knew everybody on the list but Amundsen. Most days I go who, to maybe 30% of them.

In the 1880s, the development of the escalator was delayed and hindered by the nagging problem of what to do when the cellar becomes full of steps.

Weekend Update is a production shock absorber in the context of time. It is typically written long and if only one or two sketches are cut, most of the adjustment can be made in whittling down some of the Weekend Update script between dress and air. When you see long Weekend Updates, you can bet that three or more other sketches were cut.

Redneck Life (tm) is a board game. Although it was intended to be a satire on the Game Of Life (tm) board game, it is reportedly a lot of fun to play. At the start of the game, each player rolls the dice to determine highest school grade completed (2-12), selects their first spouse and furnishes their abode from Goodwill. Final score is determined by the number of teeth remaining. (Finding this board game shall be an exercise for the student. Hint from Foxworthy: Try eBay or Amazon.) :)
