Expansion of Golden Gate Casino Has Begun

If the new footprint will be used for slots, it would be cool if they could somehow add more table games adjacent to where the current pit is. Can't picture how exactly the floor is configured right now to see how feasible this would be.

Tks for the link, I've heard that the GG was expanding but for the life of me I couldn't figure out where they could. AHHH the new addition next door... I thought the Stevens had just bought the old LVC and neighbors across the FSE, didn't realize they had also bought next door to GG. The golden gate casino is fun but the hotel rooms are awful, even for a lonely, weary, tired, drunk traveler such as myself....

I like their suites... and even their normal rooms are "ok", but quite small... biggest problem with the standard rooms is that HVAC is not in control of the guest...it is either "heat" or "A/C". So, in February, you cannot turn the A/C on...except in the suites.
Noise can be an issue with some of the rooms, but I've never had any trouble sleeping in the suites.

As for the expansion? "More slots" does nothing for me at all. An additional pit for table-games, however, would be great!

Looking forward to seeing the progress of the expansion during our next Vegas visit at the end of April...and very interested to see what the plans are for the development across FSE in the old LVC/Glitter Gulch area.

Wow only 361 slots? I knew it was small but... If I was Derek, I'd add 100 slots too.

The "new" rooms are good and the suites are excellent. If you can get those, worth a stay.

Or, maybe spreading the tables out a bit. Always seams really crowded there.

Still mourning the loss of DuPar's, looking forward to seeing addition to casino.
