Ugh. Don't really like it. The skysuites look and feel sleek. This design does not

To my non-design minded eyes it just looks like they turned them into an IKEA display. Not a fan at all.

Not sure I’m on board with the new design trends as Wynn’s new rooms look awful as well.

I don’t necessarily dislike these renderings, and I don’t want to be too judgmental as I haven’t stayed in sky suites before, but I will be in a few weeks. I like these renderings much more than I like the renderings of the new Wynn rooms. It seems like the current trend is to make these rooms feel more like a very nice residential apartment than a hotel suite, and I’m not sure if I like that. As @UKFanatic mentioned, the sky suites look slick as is, this looks like it slows them down some. I guess I’ll just have to stay again after they renovate so I can be the judge for myself.

I have also never stayed in the sky suites, but I like the design. It doesn’t look like very comfortable sofas or chairs to me though. It looks like they are going for young, hip and modern. That is obviously who they are trying to impress.

I think the existing decor looks more luxe. I have not stayed in Sky Suites for a couple of years but the wear was starting to show a little. They can’t afford to let that happen, especially with Wynn redoing all their rooms.

I'm happy they're getting a refresh. Last time I stayed there the walls were pretty worn. Might revisit now!

A little off topic, but I just have to say, those pictures are apparently CGI renderings, not photos! The renderings are simply amazing, the fabric details, the leather details, the light diffusion, the light absorption, the way the shadows look different on different surfaces. Look at the front-on picture of the bed and headboard and the way the shadows play across the bedspread, pillows, and wall. Everything looks so realistic.

I'm looking at the first website link in the OP.

More on topic, I do like the look of these rooms, especially the liberal use of texture. However, in the first picture, the run-of-the-mill granite countertop for the wetbar seems a bit out of place. They should use a surface more like the dining table to the left.

Looks awful to me. Like a Chicago apartment furnished with Room & Board or Pottery Barn furnishings. As UKFanatic said, the ‘sleek’ is gone.

I’ll never understand how these designs get through design, creative leadership, focus groups, and hotel leadership without considering what their consumers think. At least, I’ve never seen a survey or anything and I stayed at Aria ~25 times in the past 5 years.

The wood dressers ,nightstands and desk were scuffed up pretty badly in the suites I was in during my April and May trips.
    Disappointing for their premium accommodations.
This renovation looks different but will vastly improve the worn conditions in in many of the suites.

Not a fan. It does feel/look like an IKEA catalog. (renderings, I know)
I understand why they might have gone with curved furniture since Aria itself is curved.

Are those nubby textures being used on walls able to stand up to vigorous and frequent wipe-downs?
The fabric on the padded headboards looks like a mix of burlap and outdoor sunshade material.

The beachy sisal-type rug is growing on me, but the print doesn't look good with the metal office chair legs and big curved Miami Deco curved furniture.

Describe this style: 80's /Art Deco Miami /Cali Beachside but with 90's Industrial touches everywhere.
The color palette itself is not offensive but there's a lot of texture and beige-y tans/ & terracotta orange in there.

First glance impression? Weird swoopy rounded table/furniture.

IMO any cheap metal legged chairs have to go! They look like lawn chairs.
The pipe industrial shelving design was a mistake. Remove it & leave floating shelves.
Replace the corner artwork with LED screens with panoramic digital artwork.
Swap the floor lamp positions. It's too busy with slats and multiple lamp shafts.

The black banquette chair size is good but it needs thicker legs that mimic the boomerang feel of the legs on the Terra cotta chair.
That orange lawn chair has to be removed completely.
If the Banquette table was pulled out a bit more there could be 2 black chairs, but only if you removed that crappy orange lawn chair.

The Lucite art piece is cheap, generic and random looking. I'd say replace it with a mirror but that might be a magnifying fire issue.
Maybe hire an artist to do an architectural style drawing or a line drawing of a historic building somewhere in Vegas (past or present). Black lines, minimal color but some colors to match room. Or maybe some modified architectural drawings from Aria itself.

Right now, everything in the room directs my eye to the clutter & doorway in the rear.
Maybe hang the Lucite piece higher to match the height of the pipe shelving? Or remove the pipe part of the shelving.

If the mini divider wall between the sofa and the pipe shelving was solid instead of slatted wood pieces, the current 3 light fixture wood look nicer & that corner wouldn't be so visually distracting.

MEH, I'm not sure how to make it better. It needs changes though!

These designs are not growing on me. I have looked at them several times and I just don't like them. It takes the feel of the Sky Suites (and I am sure some don't like it) and completely changes it.

They are due for an update as rooms are looking worn.

I guess we will see how they "feel" when we stay in a remodeled one...

Those look terrible. Definitely not luxurious. Looks super cheap and tacky. Couches look uncomfortable as hell too.

I am not a fan of these chairs at all. They look like modified middle school desk chairs. Horrible and not luxury at all. 783EFF39-2129-492F-9857-8B367096A02B.jpeg 6B7923E9-1A64-40D9-BDEC-505290A3C0BE.jpeg FA4F12A4-99A9-42FA-9F92-5D96E7356125.jpeg

While not exactly the same, this remodel is giving me flashbacks to Park MGM’s retooling several years ago.

BTW, does anyone know when/if Aria plans to remodel their base, non suite, rooms?

I'm legitimately stunned how bad that is. The design is C- at best and it's completely out of sync with the resort.
