How hard is it to get a single show comp for the Tournament of Kings at Excal if I'm not staying there? Would $30 avg bet over an hour or 2 at a blackjack table score it?

I would just buy a ticket.

Let me tell you a story about a "friend" of mine who tried to get Bruno Mars tickets at Cosmopolitan . . . .

He ended up losing $12,000 and DIDN'T get tickets.

    to answer OP's question:
no way. You missed a 0 somewhere. And you probably not get it even with the 0.

Can't you get these at Tix4Tonight a lot of days?

Just do something like that. This isn't that expensive of a show when you consider it includes a meal.

With an average wager of $30 an hour at blackjack, you would probably need to gamble for about seven hours (not one or two) to earn that comp

    I figured 6:5 blackjack had about 5% house edge. 60 hands an hour x $30 avg bet= 1800 × 5%=$90 × 2hours=$180 theo loss × @30% comp would get me the ticket. Where am I wrong?

I probably will. But I'm going to play blackjack so I figured I might as well ask for the comp?

No disrespect to those who like the Tournament O' Kings, but isn't the consensus around here that they ought to be paying the attendees to go?

    I didn't assume 6/5 blackjack

This is way off. There isn't a 5% house edge on 6:5. more like 2% vs basic strategy.

Hand count is probably low though

It also begs the question of why you want to lose $180 to get a ticket you could get for $40 or whatever at Tix4Tonight. If you want to play 21 you can find much better games at $25/hand.

Obviously I would not want to lose $180 for the ticket.

I was just trying to get an idea of what it would take to get the comp.

    +1

Took my (then) 8 year old. First time he had seen a whole game hen (cooked). He wouldn't touch it because "it looked like a baby". I had to tell him to turn around, then I broke it up into pieces that he was familiar with. Other than that, we had a great time.

That was my plan but it is not available as a reward for me. Bee gees and thunder are there but no Tourney.
