Trips to Las Vegas

Not sure if this belongs here or in MyVegas but I'm mostly just interested in the food quality.

Which one is better?

There's the $100 off $200 at Excal and $75 off $150 at Luxor on MyVegas and I'll use one of them on my next trip. It's a group of four and we've been able to make the Luxor coupon work pretty well before but the $200 option would let us comfortably fit in there.

But if it's a lot worse, its not worth saving $20. Opinions?

If you just want a decent steak, Excalibur will be okay, but if you're into anything special (game meats, [imitation] wagyu, etc), luxor is the way to go. Wine list at the ex is also somewhat limited, I didn't fully explore the luxor one

We ate at Excalibur steakhouse a couple of years ago and it was very average. Service wasn't good - the waiter was going to walk off without asking if we wanted drinks. We had to ask for the wine list. The steak was OK, nothing really wrong with it but wasn't in the same league as CC Steakhouse. It wasn't special at all.

We are thinking of trying the Luxor one this trip, with the MyVegas reward. Or may go to BLT at Ballys as it'll be literally downstairs.

Try the Luxor. Had the same experience as above at Excalibur. Wait staff very inattentive. Steak was mostly gristle. Had to send it back. Substituted a filet which was much better. Nowhere near CC steakhouse.

I've had both in the last 2 years. Luxor twice, and Excalibur once. When eating out, I typically eat steak as prepared. Excalibur was one of the few places where I considered adding seasoning to my steak this decade. "Tender" at Luxor, on the other hand, I was pleased both times.

I really liked Tender, haven't tried Excalibur. Based on comments above, I would rather go to Tender again, instead of trying Excal.

I've eaten at both multiple times. My biggest problem with Excalibur is that service is always terrible, unless you eat at the bar.
I would say food quality is slightly better at Tender's, but I don't think you can go wrong at either one.

Sounds like I'm sticking with Tender. I've been there four times and have always left happy, but was willing to take a group of 4 to exalibur if it got the job done.
