I don't know if it's the uplift in the economy, or CETs emergence from bankruptcy, but the treatment that I have received from them lately has been "abysmal".

I am a Seven Star CET member, and this year I plan to renew 7*. I also decided to focus on GGWU, and attend 5 of the bonus events to get the 100,000 GGWU points bonus.

My target was to end up with about $1000 worth of GGWU bonus points. Last year, due to bonus events, I ended up with about $2100 worth of GGWU points, but it looks like they've really scaled back on the bonuses.

So this year started well. I was invited to the first 3 GGWU bonus events. I put in (at the minimum) a 2500TC day ($12,500 coin in) and a 1000TC day ($5,000 coin in) on each trip.

Then for some reason, I wasn't invited to the 4th event, and I'm not invited to the 5th event. The reason that this is significant is because of the bonus for attending multiple events.

Note that I am still getting comp offers, just not GGWU offers. I have made 10 or 11 trips to CET properties this year

The ONLY thing that's different about this year?? I'm winning . . . on my last three trips I hit for $9000, $8800, and $1600 for a net win of $12,000. I am currently "up" for the year. But am I really up that much that it should affect my offers that much? I don't think so.

That's the ONLY thing I can think of. I have asked my host in Las Vegas to find out the reason I was dropped, because CETs reasoning of "casino marketing looks at your visits and play and makes offers accordingly" appears to be meaningless. My BFF, who is Platinum level and doesn't play "much" is still getting invitations. My host has not yet given me an answer.

I plan to sit down with my host and ask for an explanation of why this is happening to me, and if I'm not happy with the answer, I will take my play somewhere where it's more appreciated.

Thanks for listening to me vent. I know that I may have left out a lot of "significant" information, and some of you might not feel any sympathy because "at least you got free rooms and meals.".

    I know that there are people who only have "crocodile's tears" to shed for me . . .but . . . beware . . . .

I can vouch that I keep getting invited to events. I'd be asking your host why not if I were you

    Yea, find out.

But, personally, to spend that much to get stuff from the gift event that I can buy elsewhere cheap... we gave up on those events awhile ago and stick with whatever high Diamond gets us.

Actually found some of the gift events to be depressing. Tons of "donations" and so little to show for it.

I feel your pain, I am 7* and although I am from the UK still visit a CET property at least 8 weeks a year, last year I was not 7* and I used to receive a lot of offers, this year they have all dried up (everything), I receive nothing at all now, possibly due to hitting a Royal for the table limit last year, I don't know. I emailed my host last week to ask him what was going on and I have not heard back from him, if he decides to simply ignore me, I will just move my play elsewhere next year far away from CET.

Not to justify (well, I guess I am) my GGWU habit, but I consider it a "rebate" for my years play.

Last year I took most of the $2100 in Mastercard Gift cards to use for meals in New orleans for my January 7* retreat.

As you all may Know, RCs are only used at 50% for the partner restaurants. I "kept" the 50,000 RCs and turned them in for promo chips in Tahoe.

In addition, I have been getting 500,000 HGS points through myVegas and I combine the two events.

Our problem is once we have put in a reservation for a certain time period we lose all future offers for that period. Since we accept an offer for the beginning of August (which we did for $$) we did not received any new offers for August, so if we wanted to go to Vegas 2 xs that month we would have had to use a yearly offer, which isn't much. Hopefully things will straighten out or we will go less to Vegas and more to Tahoe, Biloxi and Windsor.....................Rick

Yeah, I've been thinking that signing up for the 7* Signature event in August really did it. And then again, the event which was supposed to occur in October is now the first two weeks of September. The thing I don't get is, if that's the reason, WHY they can't just explain it that way.

What I'm going to tell my host if she can't (or won't) explain it is:

If you can't or won't explain it, I will have to assume that it's because CET no longer wants my business, and if that's true, I'll go back to mLife.

Before going back to Mlife, you should milk every benefit from being 7 stars until it expires.

You can get rooms with zero play, and enjoy the free shows - not to mention the aspiration and 7S free flights. While doing this, you can give some play to Mlife/Venetian/Wynn and see if you get teaser offers.

    Good luck.

Out of all the marketing strategies I think CET (and maybe MLIFE uses the same?) uses the worst one. (they only allow a certain amount of "free" rooms, then no more..even if their hotel is only 50% occupancy)
Smarter to get gamblers in those rooms because gamblers will lose way more than that room is worth...but then again, they also give free rooms to anyone who farts in a CET property...so they'd have to change that strategy too..to give free rooms to people who actually DO have gamble.

Very good idea, and I plan to do that. Actually, I'm thinking of taking up a new "hobby". 40+ year at this one is now getting kinda "old".

I've got comps all over the place, and plan to make the most of them in the rest of 2017 and 2018.

OK, I went back an looked through my emails and found the answer:

    CET wrote:

"When our systems gather and analyze data, the systems will recognize when a guest has a reservation for or around the valid dates of an offer and the system will not send the qualified offer to the guest because the guest will be coming to visit around the valid offer dates. We refer to this as “Future Reservation” and it does not mean you did not qualify for the offer. The reason the system will not send you the offer is because, two offers cannot be used/redeemed at the same time. Most of the Las Vegas offers require you to be reserved under the offer code to take full advantage of all the inclusions of the offer."

I have written them a rebuttal as to why I consider this to be an unfair policy and doesn't take into fact that if they offer a promotion based on attendance, they should ensure that all qualified members have the opportunity to fulfill the attendance promotion.

    Let's see what they say.

So, it WAS the August signature event that "screwed up" the GGWU.offers.

If you are going on 2 separate dates than your host should be able to add the entitles offer on your reservation. We have had this done 2 times. It has never made sense to me why they would not allow the other offers to be "populated" on the list. Good luck with the offer and if you enjoy your hobby keep it up, however if it becomes not fun and a pain then best of luck on any other adventure, but I sure do enjoy your posts and opinions!!............Rick

If your host is any good, they can get you added for any promotion that they have but it takes some effort on their end.

Which she ended up doing. The things that I was most "pissed off" about was the "no explanation as to why".

I'm more of a red chip player (more of a "no" roller) but if I go to a CET property and fart can I ask for a free room? :poke::evillaugh::D:thumbsup::p

I'm glad she fixed it. My new casino exec (who couldn't manage to book the room I specified 3 times lol) had indicated to me last week that if he saw a slot tournament offer (that was what I wanted for my trip), he would be able to change my reservation to that offer even though I couldn't see it because I was booked already. He also indicated that hosts can often see offers that they can still assign to us, even if we can't see them.
