Okay, where did we leave off...
Sunday was football day. Stayed in the room most of the day and watched games. At that point, I was completely feeling a sandwich of some sort and remembered I had a really good Uber Eats offer. Fired up the app and ordered two sandwiches and wondered how this would unfold. Received the notification it was ready and remembered a Jersey Mikes was right around the corner that it was coming from so that was awesome.
Went down to pick it up and stressed the Encore side for pick up (the app says Wynn and Encore). I open the door to go outside, and the staff out there ask if I need a taxi.
Me - "Nope, I'm here waiting for a food delivery."
Him - "Really? Wow..."
Me - "I don't know about you, but sometimes I just need a good sandwich."
Him - "(fist bumps) Word my friend, word..."
My driver guy was rated at 92% and everything went seamless. Pulled up in a Mercedes C class so at least he didn't look that out of place driving up. Walked past the staff and they were happy I got my order. I asked why and he said that drivers sometimes try to drop the orders off with them. That sounds fun and if they don't get picked up, free food for them! I offered them a piece of mine and they declined.
Last weekend was a pivotal
fantasy football weekend. I have 3 teams, and I needed 3 wins. So, what better way to enjoy a football Sunday then at Encore with some awesome company. I really enjoyed that. My players did what they needed to do and had 2 out of the 3 wins locked up on Sunday (which in the
fantasy world is awesome since you don't have Monday to absolutely fuck you...)
Dinner was at Sinatra. I have pics on my phone (I think) but that's charging. Veal, and sausage pasta with some mashed potatoes on the side. The mashed potatoes were a little on the thicker side, but still good. We ordered two drinks that were new to us, and for the life of me I can't remember what they were but glad they were ordered. You can't EVER go wrong with a sugar rim... Thank you
@Mony, always love our meals together.
Gambled a little and the losing trend continued. Monday morning go home day. For the first time leaving Vegas in a long time, my flight was actually on time. Yes, I was shocked.
So, highlights:
Getting off a plane and getting settled then heading straight to the Heart concert was awesome. Those ladies still bring it. I was a little concerned when Ann was helped out and sat down for the show, but those concerns quickly went away when she got going. This band rocks, and I am so glad I got the chance to go. And for those keeping score, yet another concert better than David Lee Roth (
What, do you all have school tomorrow???) The horror...
Poodle Room is amazing still after all the times I've been. We'll chalk up the broken chair as a one off and the company there was amazing (you all have outed yourselves in your TR's and I won't name names (except
@Mony who was a gracious host as always...) but I had a tremendous time with you all! Speaking of that, my knee is better, there will be no further action (except a note to them thanking them for their handling of the situation) even though I've had people tell me to do so.
Gambling - Awful. I had one decent hit on Bubble Craps but damn that was brutal.
Food and drinks - Amazing
Company - Always a great time with those peeps!
That's a wrap folks. I was really hoping this TR would have some fun pics of wins and such, but nope. But I can safely say that my string of horrible TRs is intact, but my title plays... Thank you to the 7-8 people who endured this!
