Morning. Yeah, a phenomenal night to say the least. I’ll catch up a bit later, but I was sitting in a poodle room chair and one of the legs broke. Quite the show for my friends, and I’m pretty positive someone might have “allegedly” taken the broken leg. Or maybe they didn’t.

Wow, yesterday and today have been blurs.

Back to the Poodle Room. Great company, great drinks. So I was sitting in my chair. I’ve sat in these many many time and this time I tried to move it a little bit when I first sat down and heard a slight noise. Didn’t really think anything about it until the waitress was talking to us and the leg broke causing the chair to dip forward to the left. I kind of broke the fall a but with my left leg and was helped up and the waitress told me not to move and called over the manager and someone to replace the chair. Manager asked me if I was okay and I let her know that I was with the exception of the embarrassment of having that happen in a place like this. She said the next drink was on them, and that worked for me. The waitress was so sweet(she was the one that helped us on the first visit there) said she was so sorry and to make sure to come back soon. Went back to the room and crashed. Woke up yesterday with some pain in my left knee that is still there today, so I might have to be one of those people who has to get checked out just in case. I guess we’ll see what happens.

Really good burger. I asked about switching to fries but was told there was an up charge to switch due to the current chef on duty. Politely declined the extra $8 (I know, I know…) and enjoyed the hash browns.

I think we both blew through our bankrolls pretty quick this trip sadly. I’d love to show pics of wins that actually meant something but there were none. But that’s okay when Vegas has so many other things to do. Had to pass on Jerry’s with a certain panda, but it was fine since he was in the same predicament I was with the losing streak. Next time!

Dinner was Wazazu, and really good as usual. Big portions so leftovers happen and I’m always okay with that.
 
A chair leg from Poodle Room is a top tier Vegas souvenir, and I'm at least a little jealous of that!! Hope your knee is good!
 
Hope the leg is okay. But if it isn’t, you might need to drive around the freeways and find one of those hurt in a casino billboards. Bankroll replenished lol

Yes, and Poodle Room membership for life!

I know there are like 4 of you who are just dying to know how the trip ended up. Been kinda busy with work but I flew home on Monday morning. Pain still so I saw a doctor today and I need to get the knee scanned. I’ve been told that the description of what I said happened and, ahem, my age makes him think there’s a knee issue.

So, any takers on helping me find a billboard? :haha:

I’ll wrap it up soon, but thought I’d provide an update.

You’re going to end up with 9 of those real poodles 🐩 being sent to you, which kind of sounds like hell, but you can always sell them?

It’ll all be ok, I’m sure of it. If not, those poodles will fetch a lovely price!

(and I remember our hug after dinner @ Jean Georges this summer, fondly. Hugs are the best!)

Glad you are mostly ok. I hate to say it, but I am not entirely surprised that happened. One of the first things I noticed when I went to the PR is for a place that is striving to be upscale, there are an awful lot of furnishings and fixtures that are on the cheaper end. They do a good job with lighting. Its not the kind of thing I would notice at night, but when I have been there with daylight still pouring through the windows, I have noticed. Stay well
