And ladies, even if you don't use the toilet when going into a stall (to fix your clothes or whatever), pah-leeeese wash your hands after. You had to touch the door latch to exit the stall, where all the other women touched after using the toilet. There's still germs there! And it just looks bad to exit a stall & not wash...

I am a frequent hand washer. I love warm water and soap.
    Especially in Vegas.

Hand sanitizers are the next best thing to soap and water. They don't work on everything like C-Diff.
A long scrub with soap (helps the creepy crawlers slip off ) and water to wash them down the drain.
If people could only see these microorganisms, we would see a huge change in good hygiene practices. I guarantee seeing them would absolutely get your attention.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for saying this, but fuck washing your hands after every single piss. I shower every single day and my dick is probably the cleanest part on my body. I also know how to piss so nothing is getting splattered (I do wash after a #2) In the last 20 years of my life I get sick twice a year, spring, and fall. It's a mild cold that last 2-3 days. I'm never gonna mess up that up by being a germaphobe.

And then you have the people that eat at the slots....after the buttons have been pushed by fingers by non-handwashers, nosepickers and whatnot. No. No. No. (And I am not a germaphobe, but I'd hate to see a microscope on a slot button!)

And if you do like to eat at a slot machine, I'm just poking fun. They say germs are the secret to a stronger immune system. I just remember our host at Cosmo saying one guy asked for a pizza BROUGHT to him, while playing. Yuck on many accounts!

I have on more than one occasion as I am washing my hands and someone does a flush, no hand wash, and toward exit gave them a little... hey, wash your nasty hands! (more often with a cocktail or two in me than not). Then there are the times I see a Mother walk out with a young child and off they go! Man, smh. Oh and don't forget the dolled up, trying to reposition short skirts, high-heeled millennials who take the time to fluff and maybe even lipstick but no wash.

That is true. Once we shower, the little feller is tucked away in his cotton apartment except for the occasional pee foray. But I think after a while, washing after going becomes more habit than anything. You do it without thinking about it.

Out body has bacteria all over it. No matter how much we shower. Put “the little guy” away in a dark place, moist from sweat and it becomes a breeding ground for the bacteria.

Never mind the proximity to your backside where the worse bacteria are that live naturally in your gut. If you think things don’t slide around in there you are mistaken, no matter how well u clean your tush.

And lastly, plenty of studies to prove that your urine splashes up to 2 feel at least away from the toilet/urinal. You are mislead if you think you are a “pro” and can avoid splash back.

Washing your hands is THE number one way to prevent the spread of infectious disease. Well documented in the literature.

WASH UP WHEN YOU ARE DONE!
    Rant over.

Yes, there's evidence that day-to-day exposure to environmental pathogens does stimulate the immune system and keeps you less susceptible to what's going around. That is, however, no excuse to blow off sanitary precautions.

I carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer with me all the time. The one time I will use it in lieu of washing hands is if there are no towels and just those "blow job" dryers, which chap my hands! Yes, yes, I know, save a tree, but paper towels is the one luxury that I think is worth sacrificing a tree or two! :)

That, of course, is if the towel dispenser works! (Don't get me started!) Half the time you wave your hand and it does nothing. The other half of the time it grinds and whirrrrs but no towel, or maybe a 3 inch runt of a towel, in which case you wave again and it grinds and whirs again, and ... ...

Then selecting a wash basin. It's kind of a roulette game! Does the soap dispenser work? It seems like 9 times out of 8 it doesn't, or else you wave your hand, nothing, then move over to another basin only to see a stream of soap squirt out of the one you just left!

Does the auto turn-on faucet work? Again, roulette game. (LOL, does it turn off?) :)

Years ago one of my favourite bars in London had a camera in the gents facing the sinks. The monitor was in the ladies. A bit of social pressure certainly improved behaviours.

Personally, I made sure when I opened a bar that the bathroom door opens both ways just so people can use their elbows after they’ve washed their hands. Just because of others sanitary standards. Working in an office, you are reminded how... variable people’s approaches to it are.

That said it reminds me of an age old joke.

Sailor and a soldier are in the bathroom. Soldier does his business and goes to leave. Sailor raises his voice. Hold it there son, in the Navy they teach us to wash our hands when we go to the bathroom.

Without skipping a beat the soldier responds “In the army they teach us not to piss on our hands.”

If you washed your hands you wouldn't ever get sick! haha
Also, after you go once it is no longer the cleanest part of your body... which is what the whole 'washing hands before you even go' thing is about... you've now grabbed your junk with your dirty slot button, chip handling hands so it's basically like your wiener has touched those things ;)
Just teasin' ya. But seriously...wash your hands.

True... I don't even think about it...just something you automatically do. One thing I don't do is use one of those waxy f-in "ass-gaskets" if I need to go #2... I'll take my chances on what could possibly be touching the back of my thighs on that one!

Clark: "I need to go somewhere a man can think."
Cousin Eddie: "Oh, oh I wouldn't do that here Clark, the stalls are awefully dirty and they're backed up all the time."

Probably should be washing before ya know because all the germs you might be putting down there.
