Yeah, don't press it once you get the cooler call. Something about it just turns your luck, and then you need to explain both that you decided to stay and that you lost winnings because of it. .

In november I was playing $25 a hand at the Linq and had turned $100 into around $650. I was drinking like a fish and I'm diabetic, which means my sugar was probably high which means I have to urinate more often than normal. I REALLY had to pee but couldn't walk away. I was even joking that it was my bottled up urine that was keeping the table hot. Finally after the dealer hit 21 two hands in a row I got up and hobbled (like I couldn't stand up straight, it hurt so bad) to the washroom. Still walked away with a purple chip and a few blacks when all was said and done. Fun table, though it helped it was all people I came into town with. We kept doing shots and because the dealer was pregnant, we got her a bottle of water each round to include her. One of the more fun times I've had at a table in Sin City

My last trip to Vegas we stayed at the Encore. The day we left I went down to the casino and played some mindless $25 roulette side bets for fun. I sat down and correctly guessed red/black and/or odd/even 11 times in a row. My wife came down and told me we had to get going so I got up and the very next spin was a 00. So I guess I'm glad my wife insisted we take off.

We were driving back home from a Christmas vacation, after ten hours on the road we decided to stop for the night in Cincinnati. The kids wanted to stop at the casino so of course I agreed. Wife and I found a table of 3cp where we could both sit, I always offer her first choice of seats. I get on a streak and about 10 hands in I am up 100 so i start playing 10 a spot and the streak continues hitting pairs and flushes winning a few of the six card bonus. The kids track us down after about an hour and watch as I hit 6 hands in a row. Youngest says come on Pops we need to go I say one more hand and put 20 on each spot and decide to throw 10 on the 6 card i get my cards and show my son 777 dealer turns over a pair of twos I am. Awesome full house and three of of a kind, dealer puts 500 on the six card spot then I see the fourth seven 1200 on that hand and a total of 3500 later out I go.

    Another one:

Was playing craps on a cruise ship. It was only a $5, single odds only table, but it was still pretty hot. My friends and I had posed for some pictures earlier in the evening, then looked at them later (I didn't buy). But another of my friends decided she had to have some. So while I was playing craps, she came up behind me and said "Darren, have you seen the pictures? They're so nice!" I gave a quick turn around, said yes, I'd seen them, and that I was busy. She decided she'd just step back and wait until I wasn't busy. She didn't understand that at a craps table, you can spend a few seconds just standing there waiting for other people to place their bets before the next roll. She thought me just standing there looking down the table meant I had time to turn and look through pictures. Another request to look at the pictures, another "I've seen them, I'll see you upstairs in a bit". A few seconds later: "Why won't you look at them!". Finally showed my fangs and growled "I'm busy!" and she left. Shooter finally 7's out, and I'm up pretty good. But I had to walk away, and go kiss some ass.

Kinda not surprised we don't talk any more, though for reasons other than that.

In the midst of that run metioned in the OP, I asked my wife if she was out of slot money, gave her a couple Benjamins and sent her on her way. Bought me extra time in which I re-couped her slot "investment".
