You know, I have never done this. This thread is timely though because next trip I've decided to try to do this. First 2 nights are at cosmo. I've never stayed there. Im going to try not to even leave the premises until I have to leave to check in at ballys.

I've always felt if I didn't go to a lot of places when I'm in Vegas that I'm sort of wasting my trip. My last time in vegas in Sept, I decided I need a new experience. I'm tired of walking all over the place. By the end of my last trip my feet hurt so bad. It's just a lot harder to get around on foot in vegas anymore with all the overhead walkways and escalators and the properties being so big.

I want to maximize my play at cosmo to try and keep the offers coming anyway, and I haven't eaten at any of the places at cosmo except wicked spoon. I figure I've got plenty of exploring to do for 2 days.

I really hope this is the answer for me to be able to enjoy vegas more than ever.

Yeah...I've had two solo trips staying at Gold Coast. Except for a perfunctory jaunt downtown for a few hours (because that's my true 'home base' for gambling), I spent the rest of each trip staying put at Gold Coast.
    Had fun.
Won on both trips...so what's not to like?

Definitely have done this. Especially when I had some work to do for college. But love to experience room service at some hotels.

I've spent 3-4 days at the Orleans alone and it's fabulous. Sleep late, hit the gym, pool for a few hours, a snack a rest then some gambling...repeat. Once my friends get there we venture out and do all the other things but I find it relaxing to go alone for a few days and stay put.

We've never done this - that's why our comps are non existent. In eighty plus trips to LV we've rented a car every time, and on most of our 7 - 10 day trips we average 20 casinos per trip. We also throw in visits to parks, preserves, shows, shopping centers, museums (Atomic Testing Museum is a must), and at least three or four new restaurants (usually ones that have been reviewed by Westie). We try to always avoid restaurants that are available at home. If we wanted to stay put we'd go to a local casino and not waste the time and money getting to our favorite vacation spot.

We are planning something similar, although we stay at Bally's first then two nights at Cosmo. While we won't absolutely stay put, we are planning to spend a good amount of our time at Cosmo during our stay there, eating there and playing there a lot to try to get some improved offers going forward. We used to do Vegas trips with trying to visit every casino, but now we tend to hang out mainly at 5-6 places we like and not bother trying to visit others. The exception is if we have other people with us who want to see the sights.

I probably do that 75% of my trips. I'm a MBayer. But I do Cosmo and Nugget. Travel solo for the most part. If it's a slotty weekend, you have to sign in the night before with reception and gift, be on schedule twice a day, and if there are wild card draws (March Madness tourney) and then there are check your scores, get your tickets in for the drawings and then the dinner...However when I go for a week in March every year it's a convention and I actually HAVE to attend events at other properties. I don't walk the strip anymore. I only shop or go to the (outlets ONCE,) when forced (the time I mistakenly took my son's camping luggage at the front door instead of mine, realized that at the airport). I've seen the shows. I don't club. I like it. Content.

All the time! We've grown past the days of prowling the Strip, hopping from casino to casino. Now days we tend to stay put, and only leave the property for a show or maybe a dinner. In fact, the last 6 or so trips we've just walked across the bridge to Wynncore for afternoon cocktails and spent all the rest of the time at V/P.

I can't see myself doing this, if only because a MUST DO for me each time, is to walk down the street with a beer in my hand. Heaven.
