    Just booked Flamingo.

    My CR hotel preferences are
    1. Caesars
    2. Planet Hollywood
    3. Paris

But i booked Flamingo as a change of scenery. Especially since they were offering a comp premium room. But i do remember passing by and being really discouraged by the low ceilings. Felt claustrophobic. I'm hoping that low height doesn't magnify the cigarette smoke. I feel like i'm going to spend the majority of the time at the promenade and the Linq. Linq doesn't have any premium rooms otherwise i would just pick it. It contains my favorite breakfast spot. Hash house a gogo. Plus i'm a little cautious about the elevator situation.

I'm always switching things up... depending on the deals I can get, and because I just like to have a new home base each time I go. I'm not picky about rooms, though, as long as they're clean and the beds are comfy. Assuming you got a Flamingo Room, you should be fine with it. I've probably spent the most time in the Flamingo than any other strip resort and I love it's proximity and flow to the promenade and into Linq. That whole area is my happy place. Have fun!

I stayed at Cosmo 20 times (18 of those in a wrap a round and the other 2 in a Terrace Suite) in a row over the course of a 2 year period. I was sooooo over the strip in general, but felt I'd gotten super-complacent about how incredible the view is. So, at that same time, I realized how much I was missing downtown. Did I head over to GN to sorta keep within the confines of a strip property? Nope. I WAY downgraded to the Plaza. While it has resulted in some frustrations - it has also allowed me to be more relaxed and I find that I'm overall more content. Will I return to Cosmo? Maybe, but I might end up at the Wynn or V/P at some point. For now, I'm all about DT!

I have a relatively short attention span and get bored easily, so I completely understand. This is why as much as I love Cosmo, I can't maintain comps there because I'm not willing to always stay there. Plus, I really try to play where I am staying if on a comp, and I get REALLY bored playing at the same casino.

With that said, I love the Flamingo. It feels very old style Vegas to me, and I like that. I like the selection of machines, I like the vibe and I love the habitat. You probably will notice the smoke more though. I wasn't clear if you were referring to the elevator situation the Flamingo, but the last time I stayed there (10/17), I didn't have a problem.

I switch it up all the time I have comps at every CET resort for premium rooms and in some cases "suites" altho a suite at Bally's is about on par or worse then an agustus room in caesars.
I just like variety. My last trip I stayed at Harrahs just because I never had and they gave me a free room.

While there is no doubt that caesars has the nicest rooms in the CET chain.. from my bouncing around.. I would say that the Flamingo has my favorite vibe and best location.

How are the flamingo executive and premium rooms? For some reason I really wanted to stay at harrah’s in a few weeks but nothing really showing up available. I could do a flamingo stay though

I have this same problem with the Cosmo. It is a beautiful place but I can’t just gamble the whole time there, I need to go from casino to casino

I am a nomad who has stayed in >10 places in Vegas in the last decade. I like to switch it up. But I do have some favorites that I go to more often.

I think CET has generally done a good job on their recent round of room refreshes - they've come a long way from that ridiculous pre-bk remodel that they did at the Flamingo where they didn't even touch the bathrooms and put in what appeared to be the cheapest flooring I've ever seen. The new Harrahs, Linq, Ballys, Paris, CP, Cromwell, and Flamingo rooms are all quite competitive for their class of hotel. If you want a change of pace - they are worth seeing with the possible exception of the Linq, which has small, dorm-like rooms. They won't have the quite the finishes and large bathrooms that you might get in one of the newer Caesar's tower unless you're in an upgraded room, but they're lightyears ahead of where they were 6 years ago and where NYNY is now.

I switch it up by staying on the Strip with the wife, but staying at downtown casinos (I don't mean the strip-like Golden Nugget) when I am solo. I find both types of casinos have their own charms if you are open to them.

Have done most of CET and MLIFE and Cosmo.

We have switching it up lately and happy. Did The D on my own, then took wife. Twice now.

Went back to NYNY recently and going to do it again.

Have a nice offer with CET so overlapping rooms this trip, but at PH - never stayed there. Main reason for going there is that it is different

Nothing else. We always spend too much time in Diamond -er Laurel Lounge. We really do not like the one at PH, but will deal with it this time.

For many, many years I purposely stayed at different properties to really get the feel of Vegas. I was fortunate to be able to go for 2-3 day visits monthly.

Along about 2009-10, I landed at Hard Rock and have only varied a few times since. I love it (mostly their staff) that much... BUT... good for you... get out there and keep it fresh!

Ack. My last few trips I strayed from my higher-end properties thinking I was going to do better on the backend---nope.

No more trolling for me, I'm sticking with my top options and will just rotate between those 3 if I get a hankering for a new hotel.

But, I think it's fun to try something new sometimes! Lots of people do and find they REALLY like the new spot.

Have fun, and can't wait to hear how it goes!

Where I stay usually depends on which properties are giving me free rooms and whether they fit into my schedule. I probably have the most stays at the Orleans, but I decided to use my CET offer for Paris and my MLife offer for Luxor on my next trip. This will be the first time that I'm staying at Paris, so if I like it, I'll probably shift over from Boyd to CET properties in the future.

In recent years, I've also stayed at the former Monte Carlo, Luxor, Encore, and GVR on several occasions. The Monte Carlo use to be one of my favorites back in early-mid 2000. Usually if a property is good to me and consistent with their comps, I'll continue to repeat with them. I'm also waiting for the Circa to open, since it's always nice staying at brand new hotel/casino. I wouldn't mind staying at some of the high-end properties, but without comps, the cost will kill my bankroll. LOL

I am probably cancelling a comp at Caesar's Palace to pay for a room at Bally's if I pull it all together for Thanksgiving, so that probably counts (but it would be a suite at Bally's which isnt guaranteed at Caesar's, and as much as I love it, CP casino is always tight for me and I'm a little tired of it for now)

Not saying not to a free fountain view suite to kick off Thanksgiving!
Presidential Suite for the holiday woohoo!

Not so much because I get tired of certain hotels, but:
    • If I get offered a much larger/nicer room at a lesser hotel, I'll take it if it's compelling value and the deficiencies of the property don't outweigh that.
    • Also looks like I may have start moving down in order to be able to find the few machines I prefer, they're starting to disappear.

That got me to thinking... since 2009, I've stayed (comped) at Rio, Gold Coast, Harrah's, Cal, MSS, Fremont, Plaza, Golden Gate, 'the D', Nugget, 4-Queens & the El-Co.
As others have mentioned, I pretty-much stay where I can get a comp. I used to have multiple options, in which case I went with locations that best suited my plans for that trip.
These days, my options are far-more limited - so, when I find a comp, I typically grab it before it vanishes!

I'm a fan of mixing it up. Aria is my home base but I think we will try Mandalay or MGM next trip for the better pool area. I also still like the Luxor and would stay there if it were the only comp I had during a busy time.

I have been wanting to change up on Mirage, but something about the place keeps drawing me back.

Now that I'm getting near the top of yardstick, it could be time to just try to experience another Mlife property.
