    Hello Guys,

i think i just had a great deal on Expedia.

For 1100 usd i got this deal.

Flying from Amsterdam ( Holland ) to Vegas ( Connection in London )

7 nights in the Encore. 5 september - 12 september

7x free buffet in the morning

Flight back to Amsterdam ( connection London ) Flight is at 10 pm :)

Same deal was for the Wynn , except it was 300 USD more.

Could someone tell me what the big diffrences are between Wynn and Encore ? and if the Wynn would be a better option for 300 usd more ? i never stayed there so i have no idea if its good or bad :)

Also id like o to know if Encore charges for parking and if Wynn/Encore also cut back on there Comp drinks ?

I'd say there is no big difference between Wynn and Encore. These two hotels are owned by the same company and are connected to each other. The rooms are pretty much identical.

You can play and eat anywhere so it's a matter of the rooms. And as Doc said above there isn't a big difference unless one of them is a much larger room. You can't go wrong either way.

I agree with this. The biggest difference I see (and I don't really think its that big) is that there are bigger crowds and more energy on the Wynn side. The Encore side also has the much better spa. Encore has the poker room and Wynn has the book, so I guess if either of those are really important to you, you may want to stay on the appropriate side. But the resorts are connected and I would say its a five minute walk (at most) from the elevators of one resort to the other

Encore is the budget version of the Wynn; and by Budget I mean about $20 less lol.

It's basically the same, but I think Wynn has a better casino and better food.

Funny how people are commenting as if Encore is lesser when it's the newer hotel.

Anyways, there's no appreciable difference between the two unless you absolutely hate walking (not even that far between the two). Depending on where you're situated in Encore, there may be some noise coming from the XS club, but the same thing goes for the Wynn as well. Also, Encore and Wynn don't charge for self-parking, and I haven't heard anything about them cutting down on comped drinks.

You got an awesome price. I just checked Expedia, same dates you're going except from PHL. The price was $1095 per person. So you're flying a much greater distance for the same price. As others have stated, I don't think there's any difference in room quality. Have fun.

That's because they were never very good about comped drinks in the first place!

UGH! This so much. A buddy and I spent over an hour betting in the sports book, an hour playing slots and about 30 minutes of BJ and we never got any drink service at all.

Wynn does not Comp drinks at the bar. Only on the floor. Just FYI. It's the only reason I don't stay there more as I like playing video poker at a bar without paying for drinks. Of course a host can always take them off the backend if you charge them to your room. ;)

You will be more than comfortable at the Encore. Large standard room with a somewhat divided living/bedroom (the large flat screen TV rotates to separate the room). Bathroom is very good size, good amenities. Only downside that we found was that the only fridge in the room was a minibar. The pictures on the website are very true to the actual room.

Wow thats a FAB deal for Wyncore :faint:
IMHO if you intend to spend many hours in the casino pay the extra for Wynn you wont regret it as the casino is far better and you will save yourself a lot of walking from Encore to Wynn and back again. In addition less walking too to other places on the strip from the Wynn.
If you like walking ignore everything I just said :evillaugh:

I agree that is a steal price wise as I couldn't fly from the US and stay there that long for that price if I wasn't comped rooms at Wynn. I wouldn't pass up that deal!

I always thought Encore had the better and newer rooms
ie the basic room is bigger with a nicer lounge area at Encore, the general consensus on here though is that there is little difference ??

    great deal by the way,

The Encore rooms are bigger, and all things being equal, would be the ones to stay in.

Hi. Great deal btw I'm from the UK and go to Vegas as much as possible. The guys below who stated the Wynn is the better hotel are wrong regarding the rooms. The Encore is an all suite hotel the wynn is a deluxe. The wynn has a bigger casino but the Encore feels much more exclusive. The pool area is lovely and the whole feel to both hotels is high end. Enjoy your trip :)

I like the casino of Encore better. It feels much more intimate and exclusive. Very enjoyable place to play in spite of the crappy craps odds.

+1 what Marky and RPM said.

I love the entire property and you can't go wrong either way as they are not only among the best hotels in Vegas but among the best in the world.

But, I love the design of the Encore rooms and the Encore spa. I play and dine in both Wynn and Encore. When I want a more cool and relaxed vibe I play in Encore and when I want high energy I play in Wynn. I like the vibe of the Encore pool but I will sometimes walk over to Wynn to enjoy the Wynn Tower Suites pool (I stay in the Encore Tower Suites).

You will have a great time.

Encore rooms are nicer/newer, but the casino is quiet. Some people like that.
