Sounds like Tony Danza held him too close...:faint:

    Get well soon, Sir Elton!

I need to bump him up my "concerts to see" priority list....he's 70 now, won't be doing this forever.

Anyone know how long his current contract runs for?

I had tix for his 5/3 show and was informed last week it was cancelled.
Rebooked it for another date, and now that was cancelled.
That's what I get for planning ahead. Usually I just wing it when it comes to shows.

Just seen that this morning. I had booked the 4th may show. Would have been my 1st ever concert. Maybe I'm just destined to never go to one now. However I have a feeling my Mrs will now push to go see Britney Spears instead.

Could be a while before see him again in Vegas I'd imagine.

70 now and it must take some planning.

Wonder what the odds are he might re-schedule for the following week - We couldn't make it first week of May (the wife really wanted to see his show) but if he's there when we're there, awesome!

Gonna have to keep an eye on the site which stupidly, doesn't reflect the cancelation.

Jeesh! Should be in "Bad joke of the day" thread! :(

Anyway, I sure hope he's OK. Sounds like one of those very nasty exotic bugs for which many don't have any naturally acquired immunity.

Elton John is due to resume his schedule of live performances in the UK on 3 June.

One of the finest musicians be good to catch him one time in Vegas.

For people that have not seen him, I recommend going to a regular concert somewhere. There is no comparison between a regular show and his Vegas show. The Vegas show is just kind of a concert Lite. 90 minutes as opposed to a full 3 hours at a regular show. The optics are better in Vegas though.

Now what am I going to do on my birthday?? We had tickets to see his final performance in Vegas on May 5, Cinco de May, also my birthday! :woohoo: It was going to be my first time seeing him. The two tickets cost more than our two round trip air fare from Milw to L.V....but oh well..it was my B-Day!! Now what to do, that would be comparable to Sir Elton?? Any suggestions???

Celine Dion? Equally expensive tickets but no less an outstanding performer. We're seeing her ourselves (first time)

He is scheduled to return to Las Vegas in October.
His residency is up in May 2018.

Good suggestion, we are seeing her on Sat. May 6.
We had Elton on Friday May 5th and Cher on Saturday May 6th, and some misc. small shows before and after.
I am still looking for something "BIG" for Friday May 5th.

Could always try Billy Idol at the House of Blues (Mandalay Bay) on the 5th.

Doubt you will find anything "BIG" that hasn't been announced yet unless the artist
is already in residence in Vegas.

Billy Idol still puts on a good show, but I have not seen him in Vegas yet. Lol, last time I saw him was about 5 years ago, and I could not hear for a couple of days. Journey is also playing.
