I took a picture of that from my room last year when I stayed in the newly remodeled tower rooms.
....or they're too lazy, cheap, or both.
We visited the EC with friends twice this year. The first time in early summer mid-afternoon an EC security guard started hassling my friend for standing too close to a woman that was playing slots. He is African-American and the woman (his wife) is not. I was just a few feet away and my friend was respectful and cooperative the entire time while he was escorted out. I spoke with security and had them review the tape, we all got an apology and just moved on.
Same group went back in October for a FP coupon run and had no security issues, but the players club employees were extremely rude to all of us.
We had the exact opposite customer service experience at the Fremont, where they even helped us with a dinner reservation at Tony Romas.
I can push past the smell at EC, but IMO there's something amiss in the management there. Maybe it's just our bad luck but that's the only DT property we've ever had less than a very good experience.
Yes, they are opened. Used LVA coupon for $49 foot/body massage for one hour on visit in early Nov.
Over the years, I've stayed in Tower, Vintage, Pavillion and Cabana Suites. Good value and a unique setting.
Yeah the only bad experiences I’ve had there are with security. A couple of them love to power trip. I like most everything else about the place, but the security guys need to lighten up.
Players club employees have always been that way. Be glad the former coffee shop is gone as they were a real treat in there.
Players club employees were nice to my mom and I when we were first timers there signing up for a players card and letting us know if we earn a certain number of points to go to kiosk to swipe and spin a wheel. I landed on the gift of the month prize and I had prize choices (bottle of wine, jacket, hat, and I forgot what else). I picked the jacket the teal blue color because I love that color (one of my favorite colors) and have worn the jacket quite a bit already at home. Before I picked it, I asked about what sizes they are (mens size) and I went with a small. Very helpful to me. Didn't see any attitudes once so ever. We went in there November 1st.
How are the newly remodeled tower rooms?
They are very nice for the price point and the showers are amazing
They were very nice and likable. I talked to the front desk clerk about the rooms and I told her that I hope they don't get destroyed too quick by unruly guests.
She said no way! The owner will not stand for it. Anyone that damages or destroys will be charged for it.
That's good. Are there tables with chairs in the room for eating take outs?
This week out of nowhere I received an offer for 3 free nights (Sunday - Thursday) and $25 Bugsy's food credit. I don't think I even have an El Cortez player's card.
Waiting to get mine so I can book!!
Upon further review - I do have a card. One of the slot attendants provided the card while paying the 2000 quarters for 4 deuces on Double Deuces Wild(?) in October. I wasn't there long but did pull a rabbit out of a hat while I was. They probably just want their money back.
Upon further review (of my mailbox!), I found my El-Co mailer there today! - Same offer you got.
Now, I just need to book it.
Booked mine for June!
I booked mine for May. Did your confirmation email include a ridiculous nightly rate that says it will be adjusted at check in if it’s comped?
I called the number on the mailer; left a message with my name, phone number and Players Club ID. Got a call back a few hours later from Mel. They comped the room for three weekday nights and said the $25 dining credit will be put on my room account. Just have to charge whatever meals to the room and the credit will be applied.
Got a confirmation email; no charge on the room, which will be in the Tower.
Just got back. Friday night Cortez was packed.
Booked in a Tower room...good to go!
