I'm glad it's still available to the DT set.
    The place is old school.

I really enjoy the ElCo and visit it a few times each time I stay downtown. Whenever I go there I feel like I'm in a time capsule. Hope they continue to embrace the old school vibe.

I am a Vegas local and I love El Cortez. It does seem looser than the other casinos and I like their new restaurant (although I loved the old steakhouse). Ask for Linda as a server. The best.

    Nope.
Blackjack, craps, roulette, bacc, bubble-craps & a ton of slot machines. No 3cp, no 4cp, no UTH, no MS or HCF.
They may have a Pai Gow poker table...I don't remember for certain.

They probably love it, as the last time I was there I didn't see any for almost an hour. Guess they were on break.

Not sure they added tables as much as they moved them. All in a straight line now instead of wrapping around the sports book. Where once was vp, now is bj tables and vice versa. Was there 2/24-28, had a great time, played all three bars, enjoyed them all. Happy hours apps in parlour bar was nice. Hope to get another 3 day comp and do it again

Nope, $3 craps is the lowest I've seen. They do, however, have .25 roulette.

.25 cent roulette. I need to put that on my list for the end of the month.

I played the quarter roulette dollar minimum once, just to say I did. I think the chips are stacked twenty high, not sure. I guess I dropped a twenty, stacks pushed my way. Played four straight number bets. Serious church carnival stakes. Third roll one hits, is it 35-1? Stacks pushed my way, I push my stacks back. End of story: I am a lifetime winner at roulette!

The place reeks of old-woman perfume and I want to punch somebody for killing off The Flame restaurant. Yet I am drawn to this old bitch like a moth to a flame.

If they could have a bar like MSS with 9/6 JOB I would never have to leave the place. It is a dive but that's what I enjoy about the place. I like the little perks they have too for all their promotions.

With all of the changes in Vegas that have been affecting me, the ElCo is the ONE place that I want to stay "as is".
It's seriously the only place that hasn't disappointed me in some way in the last few years.

ELCO has never been my favorite, but I don't hate it either. it is the smoke and pumped in fragrance that I cant stand. I was just exploring their website. they do have a calendar that lists all of the promos and specials for each day. including gambling, dining, drinking and so on. it us a useful tool. I am exploring my options after what Boyds has done to us non-locals. I will have to talk this over with my lungs.
