Does anyone know if theres a site which will show hotel prices per day over a date range without having to check each hotel individually, rather than showing a total cost for the duration?

With travel aggregators, you probably have to go one extra click to do it, if you're using a desktop or laptop. For example, I took a quick look at Vegas.com. If you put in a range of dates, the next page will list a bunch of hotels and the average per night. If you hover over the average per night amount and right-click and open it in a new tab, it'll show you a breakdown by night. So you would have to have a buncha tabs open, one for each hotel.

CET's website will show you per night for all their hotels on a single page. Select "Flexible Dates, "Las Vegas" and leave the hotel dropdown set to "All hotels."
They used to let you change the room type for each hotel once you were on the rates page, but I don't see that option anymore, I think they probably are loading the cheapest option.

They are. Still, it's a good way to gauge the relative price of specific dates/properties and drill down into the specifics later.

There's been speculation that the TR site gives different rates depending on a number of factors, like whether you're using a PC or a portable device.

I know that it shows different rates if you're signed in or not.

I just created a spreadsheet with the hotels I was willing to stay at and listed out various weeks we could go - then just searched the hotels manually and filled in the blanks and ran some totals - took a little leg work but gave the clearest picture when the best time to go was and which hotel was the cheapest. Even the smallest change of going Thursday through Wednesday vs Wednesday through Tuesday changed the price a couple hundred.

Although I don't use it very much, I seem to recall that Travelocity will show you the average rate and you can change date ranges to see the difference.
