@EastCoastVegasFan! I am trying to shedule a trip for May when you are out there. It would be a blast to hit some small crazy places and get drinks with you.

@PressThe5n9 I have never played at (or heard of Club Fortune) even when I used to stay out at Boulder Station. I see it is way down there near the Clark County Museum. I might be tempted to hit it and the El Dorado when I am not on a solo trip.

Anyone in town this weekend, want to do a crawl of the small casinos? I will drive.

It’s a tiny local’s spot and has a single table that opens at 4pm. I was passing by and stopped to get a cheap fix in and had a fun time with a few players. I was the “big dog” betting $1 come bets with full odds. :haha:

I was hoping to get out there for Memorial Day this upcoming year but my youngest daughter has a State soccer tournament that weekend so can’t make it. Would have enjoyed meeting up and playing craps with you and @EastCoastVegasFan!, and any others who would’ve been in town.

I had a meeting near the Jack Casino in Cleveland this morning and finished about 12:30 p.m. Believe it or not, the casino buffet is pretty good for lunch so I thought I would eat there. I get free buffet from my play so it is a nice benefit.

This month they changed their "Prime Players" promotions from age 55+ to 50+. Now that I fall into the club, I can get free self or valet parking Monday through Friday. That is a sweet benefit because normally free parking requires 30 minutes of table play which can get expensive on a cold craps table.

I ate my lunch and it was very good. I had the roast turkey, mashed potatoes and some veggies. I never realized how much I love Thanksgiving food, but I really do.

So of course I finished and walked by the craps tables ($10 minimum which is not too bad since they are usually $15 minimums). I recognized a couple big players (buy-ins of $2500+ for each of them) and decided to play a little before traveling to Las Vegas tomorrow. I was up and down and finally managed to cash out with a profit of $84 after an hour. At one point I was down about $300 which made me want to kill myself. That is why the win was especially satisfying.

As they were coloring up my chips, the new shooter hit 2 pass line winners, a point on the first roll and another pass line winner. Oh well, I will not let it drive me too crazy to miss the wins. I did have a $5 bet for the crew that won.

I hope this was all a good omen for this weekend.

Good luck! Hope the snow heading towards Cleveland doesn't effect your flight any.

Thanks for the good wishes. As usual, I could not sleep well last night. It is not excitement, but the fact that I live alone and my body wakes me every hour to make sure I dont oversleep and miss the flight.

I woke at 4:45 a.m. and had a text from Frontier moving departure from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. -- not a big deal. I got to the airport at 5:30 a.m., was in line at TSA Pre-Check at 5:40 a.m. and it was very very busy. Every line was full but things moved smoothly and I was through and at the gate at 5:59 a.m. Now I have time to charge my phone and relax.

There is a storm coming, but I was told it will hit after we depart. I am hoping they dont push the time and get us into an ice storm which would likely make us miss most of the day in Las Vegas. We shall see. Frontier has been very good in the past but from the horror stories I have heard here in VMB, it is just a matter of time before things get FUBAR.

I am glad there will be many VMBers in town this weekend. I will wear my wristband and feel free to greet me if you can find this loud-mouthed craps degenerate. It is always nice to meet people from VMB.

Ok, so i am finally sitting in the room. It was a whilrwind day. We left 2 hours late and landed only 45 minutes late. You have to love making up that much time in the air.

I was in the aisle eat and a rather sizeable lady was in the middle seat. All I will say is that her legs were splayed due to sheer mass. Her saddlebags were under the divider and smushed against my leg.... ewwwwwwwwwwwww.

But I am a trooper and I survived. I got my car from Budget and was on the road in no time flat. I decided to look at the Oyo Casino since I stayed at Hooters a few times in the past. It is clean and not so bad. The only down side was I played craps with some wanna be gang bangers from LA (actually they were very nice and polite to an old timer like me). Down $300 in 5 minutes.

    I hate Vegas....

So I went and got the free play from the ACG. I played $10 and lost it. I loaded the $10 from the casino and hit for $95. Now I only had a mild disdain for Vegas. So I hopped in the car and grabbed water and a few Gatorades from Walmart. Then I went to Great Buns Bakery for amazing breakfast for the rest of the weekend.

I then had to hurry downtown and check in at the Plaza to meet @cjcjcj for some craps. We played text tag and he was on a tear at the Golden Gate. By the time he came to the Plaza, we were already a full table so we barely had time to exchange a few words before he had to run and use some matchplays.

90 minutes later I was cashing in with a profit of about $400 and he texted me about more craps magic at the Golden Gate. Next time, I will just follow him and play along.

It was now about 3 pm and i wandered down to the Main Street Station to check things out. I had my eye on going to the ice cream shop at the Cal but decided to throw some play to the B-Conned powers that be. It was typical play at the MSS. Up and down with various Asian and Pacific rim gambling professionals. The players really know their craps and I love playing with them.

After about an hour I cashed out up another $100. I walked to the Cal and ate my ice cream as i watched the craps table (freaking 2x odds is total b.s.). I bought in because I wanted to use the $10 matchplay from ACG. I won and left up about $50. Not bad for about 4 minutes.

I have to admit the renovation at the Cal did an amazing job. The place looks great and I will try to stay there next time I get an offer. As i walked out the back door near Binion's I decided to go to the El Cortez and show them my boarding pass from Frontier. Just to make it clear, any airline boarding pass works. You will then go to a kiosk after you show the workers your boarding pass. You will go to promotions and I got to choose one of 5 cards on the screen. I picked the card with a free drink and a $25 matchplay.

I went to the craps table and it was typical El Cortez. People betting money they just got from Social Security or the bloodbank. But I dont care who plays, so long as the game moves. After about 20 minutes, i ran away up $80. That is a big score for the El Cortez because no one else seems to win there.

From there I walked down and ate dinner at the D. Grill. The Cheesesteak sandwich was pretty good and I was at the craps table in 15 minutes from the time I sat down. I got there at the tail end of a hot shooter, but the next kid picked up the dice and rolled for a long time too. I cashed out up $240 and was putting a lot of best for the crew. Every time I did, we won. It was a nice time.

The dancing girls were really beautiful and decidedly of the Asian persuasion. Duffer likey!!!!

The music was not too booming and I walked back to the Plaza but stopped at the Four Queens and said hi to some craps crew I have known for years. I won about $30, but that sure is better than losing!!

I was going to meet up with @whitefox and his friend, but it is 9 pm here and that is midnight in Cleveland. Since I was awake at 4 am today, and since I have had 15 beer or so, my ass is dragging. I hope to catch up with him tomorrow and anyone else who is in town.... send me a PM and lets play on saturday night!!

I am up about $700 for the day and have enjoyed myself.

By the way, I am really tired of the marijuana stank everywhere on Fremont Street. Ok, I get it.... you smoke dope. Good for you. Why do I have to smell it? I am not talking about those who have a real legitimate medical need for it. I mean all the asses who are so proud of themselves for being jackasses in public.

Public Service Announcement is now concluded.....

Maybe I will sleep. unless..... is that a craps table calling me with a second wind? hmmmm......

@PressThe5n9 It was not a bad day. Except for the hiccup at the Oyo Casino, it was nothing but winning sessions.

By the way, I bought in at the Plaza for $1200.00 and you would have thought I was dropping gold bullion. A casino host came over and gave me her card. It was really a nice touch. I was betting $120 inside as well as $10 on the pass line with $30 odds. It was a good day.

I love Las Vegas. I love myself. This is why I deserve nice things :)
