As I mentioned a couple month's ago, Frontier had one of those advertised fare sales for $15 each way to select destinations. Since I was not interested in the Cleveland to Bismarck fares, I was not expecting much. I was super thrilled to find a direct, non-stop flight from CLE to LAS for this weekend for $28.62. I am scheduled to land at McCarran around 9 a.m. and will depart at 9 a.m. on Sunday, so I will have 48 hours on the ground. I just checked in online and was assigned a middle seat, but that is not a big deal for me. I am big but can handle planes for 5 hours. Once you have flown from Newark, NJ to Hong Kong in coach for 18 hours, 5 hours to Las Vegas is nothing. I am staying at the Plaza who have been very good to me with offers. I stayed in a renovated room last December 2019 and loved it. I was huge, clean and very quiet. They have a free hotel shuttle to and from the airport with your reservation, but I cancelled last night after I was able to book a car for $40, all in. I was going to use the shuttle and then the bus to get to Wynn for my dinner buffet, but for $40, the freedom of a car is well worth the price. I will do a trip report as I go along and hope it brings joy or amusement to someone. I will be meeting some VMB members for craps rolls. Just a message to members who hesitate to meet members in person: It has been a lot of fun and I even went to a meetup with several members at Bally's. Give it a try!
