Stumbled upon this with the Fiancee and this was a lot of fun. My curiosity is how often do the cocktail waitresses come around? I'd be willing to drop $20-30 on this if the beers/drinks keep coming. This was a lot of fun and we noticed it was incredibly packed each time we visited it.

I had really good service there during the afternoon on a weekday. She kept coming back before my vodka soda was empty. I played about 20 bucks and tipped her a dollar every drink, I sat there and played and met some fun people for about 2 hours!

I was there in the fall and I'd say the drink service was almost too good. We had so much fun. :drunk:

If you want to get buzzed on free drinks with a minimal outlay, the Sigma Derby is the best place! It's very fun to play as well.

This comment warms my heart. I know where I'm dropping some cash next time then.

My wife and I took turns as the available seats were minimal. A quarter or two a race and we were both offered the opportunity to order a drink. We took advantage and the rotation was fairly quick on our visit.

Sigma derby is a great time! Always get $10 in quarters and $10 in ones. The cocktail waitresses always seem lightning fast. We've even had her bring doubles every round, can get dangerous haha

The Vue Bar, adjacent to the Derby, is also another great sport for VP and drink service. Be careful, though--the cocktails can come fast and furious!

I'll echo what everyone else has said. I had some brutal luck and found myself at the end of my daily bankroll much too fast on several days. I went to Sigma Derby, tipped a buck a drink, and played a lot of the game to help kill the time while still being able to drink. Drinks came by pretty quick (they did on the main floor as well) and my glass was never empty for long. The D really had great drink service everywhere and it was easily my favorite place to play.

THIS! Both on the strip (MGM) and downtown (D) - Sigma Derby is my - I blew my bankroll/don't want to actually gamble today budget plan. Play a quarter at a time, tip $1 a drink, and get obliterated for $20. Plus, I love the social aspect -- I've been lucky enough to be on Sigma Derby with great groups over the years. And bonus, it seems somehow less sad than buying cheap booze @ ABC/CVS and drinking in my room.
