My wife and i enjoy Grotto at GN. It doesn't get much mention on these boards but we have found the food excellent and reasonably priced. We ask for a table overlooking the pool and fish tank, a pleasant view at night.

Definitely Hugo’s Cellar - we went last year with two other couples and the salad alone was worth the visit. They make it to order, table-side and quite frankly, that made the whole experience of dining much more memorable than an expensive steak or cool decor. We went in April and are already talking about how soon we can return. (BTW You can order split entrees and each get a salad OR you can just order the salad - it’s a little $$ but you’re worth it!)

Is there any other sushi places that are worth going to other than red sush?

For downtown sushi, Bocho is good.

Another vote for Brightside! Breakfast sammies delicious and the burgers are home made and yummy too...……..grumpy staff at cash registers though...….or at least have been in our few visits.

    Vic & Anthony's at GN.

Next two would be Hugo's at 4q and Chart House at GN

For more-expensive, good quality? Go with Vic & Anthony's at the Nugget...steaks are quite good & they actually manage to get "medium-rare" exactly perfect.
For more casual, less-expensive, but still really good food? Go with Pizza Rock or 777.

My personal favorite is The Grotto at Golden Nugget. I always want to try The Chart House, and I have had apps at the bar. They were decent. Chart House has one of the great Bloody Mary's.

we love the cut of the week at charlie palmer, $59 three course with unlimited wine pairings and have never been disappointed, great atmosphere and excellent service as well. disappointed in the last visit to hugo's cellar; salad was great, martinis were huge and delicious but the entrees were average. may have been an off night. have to ask for the distinctive dining menu at vic & anthonys another home run(very dark, excellent service and reasonable with the distinctive dining menu. cant go wrong with any of these( charlie palmer is in the four seasons hotel way south on the strip not downtown).
