Anyone know if this started up yet?
We stayed downtown for five days last week. Couldn't find anything out about it, and never saw it. We were curious too. We used the SDX to get to the outlets (downtown loop is supposed to go to them assuming it exists).
This is all I could find: http://tinyurl.com/downtownloop
Last month Las Vegas Sun had an article stating Downtown Loop would begin running in mid June, but who knows if the launch date was kept.
I email the RTC on Friday and received this response a few minutes ago.
The officially launch is June 27th and the soft launch is June 22nd.
Looking forward to using this downtown loop on my August trip.
Awesome! Thanks for looking into it.
Kind of odd hours.... I wonder why the variance? Maybe to accomodate an 8 hour workday with 1 hour lunch and still run during peak hours?
Monday through Thursday: 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Friday through Saturday: 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There was a free shuttle on East Fremont that you had to email to reserve,
....it was a new automated driver-less shuttle.
Not sure if that was just a test or limited time or what.
