Hopefully they will learn from the mistakes of both the spike and plaza, after they completed their renovations.

I have to say, I will stay there at least once, no matter the resort fee or rates. I would pay double what the Golden Nugget charges, just for old times sake, and to re live some of my memories. Hopefully they will do a good enough job, and offer good value so that I return after that.

Thanks for the link Dewey. I never cared for Lady Luck at all, so the Grand will have an easy act to follow as far as I'm concerned. Sure hope it will turn out better than some of the more recent downtown renovations.

Wow, I didn't expect the renovations to cost $100m! For context, the plaza cost $35m to renovate.

Thanks, Dewey, I'm pumped now! I love downtown and I saw a show with a coupon in the back of LL, was like a tent! It will be great to see her open again......and have another option for my trips. I can't wait to see activity there in january......2 months and counting!
