When I bought my 2 dollar Corona from Freemont hotel they offered me a plastic cup as well. This new law literally caused zero issues for me.

We're not up in arms, we just wont do it, it's not unreasonable to expect things to stay the same. It's pretty clear that this was done for pure publicity.

Havent been Downtown since 1/2014. I noticed some changes about drinking.i.e. You have to use plastic cups. We are staying down here for the first time 1/22-25th.
So from what I read, on this forum, and other comments on various websites, is that it is being selectively enforced. The law gives LE the opportunity to ticket or confiscate ...if they want to. So the homeless and thugs can be targeted, and the tourists who drive all the money into the area are largely left alone?? I always liked to grab a twelve pack and check out the scent on FSE before ducking into the casinos. If I cant that sucks, however with the availability of $2 beers I dont see that being a big deal. Ive always found it cheaper do buy my drinks when I want to get drunk, rather than get "free" drinks while playing. Is this the gist of the current situation?

I have seen tourists walking w/ bottles and cans, but it's rare and I assume LE would give some type of warning/confiscate for carrying a single. I don't think I'd risk carrying a 12 pack under my arm - that's a little different than 'accidently' walking out of a casino w/ a beer.
personally I've just poured my drink into a plastic cup provided at the casino exits and been on my way; the law change hasn't affected me much.
