I used to stay downtown for the whole trip . About 3 years ago, I started staying on the strip and just visited DT for about 5 hours to use our ACG and LVA coupons and to get the oxtail stew at the Cal.

Needless to say, I no longer get any comped room offers. This year I want to stay 1 night downtown. I play 95% VP and the rest will be BJ and craps. My last trip I had $15K+ coin in over 2 nights at the Luxor playing VP. The 1st night I stayed at the Linq and didn't play much because I drank too much downtown before I checked in.

How many slot points or coin in on VP would be needed to get a room comped on the backend at the following casinos? Any of them easier to get a comp at? Any other hotel suggestions?

    Plaza
    The Cal or MSS
    The D

I am going 9/29/17, which is a Friday night. I assume it will require more coin in than a weeknight.

Also we get separate rooms, but my buddy is a "strip guy" and wants to stay at the Golden Nugget. Trying to talk him out of it and that he can get more bang for his gambling at another DT casino. I don't know how much coin in he generates, but he regularly gets 3-4 nights at the Monte Carlo plus $100 free play and $100 resort credits. How much play would he need at GN? He exclusively plays VP.

GN says they're not happy at 50 on table games, but they are. 100 is good there. Probably true most everywhere downtown.

    Can't speak to slot.
