Wouldda thought that the Nugget might've shown some interest in the property, as it's directly adjacent to them... but hey... I'll take Stevens. Love that he's investin' in the area!!!

It's behind the Nugget, wonder what he is going to do with the land?

I wonder if they could do something similar to The Grand, a pedestrian walkway over to a real pool and shopping?

I ASBOFUCKINGLUTELY LOVE this guy Derek Stevens. One night while I was hootin' and hollerin at The D on the Sigma Derby machine a gentleman in a suit asked me if I was having fun. I figured he worked for the place and I said "Can't you tell??? I LOVE this place now that you got the BEST game that vegas forgot!" He smiled and said good luck and walked away. It wasn't until a few minutes later that one of the change ladies asked me if I knew who that was. I didn't. She said it was the owner of the casino. I love that he's helping to shape downtown. Sometimes I do miss the down and outness of Downtown. But I know that Vegas always changes and what was once considered posh and hip becomes faded and washed out in a very short period of time, then what was once considered faded and washed out becomes in style again.

I hope that he does something magic with the land. He intends to demolish the bulding so he has a whole city block to work with expanding the proprerty. He may even use the fact that it's behind the nugget to persuade the nugget to buy it from him for a tidy profit.

Either way I wish him much success.
