    My Trip Report

I will make an attempt at this report but i was there so long and drank so much it all started to blend together. It started out in a party atmosphere at the airport. Got to the Lansing Michigan airport about 3 hours early so i could saddle up to the bar and get a good spot to watch game 7 Piston and Spurs. The bar ended up packed and everyone was drinking and rooting on the Pistons. I had to leave on my flight before the game got over and we all know how that turned out. "Damn" Did get to sit next to the only other guys on the flight that wanted to party, so that made the flight go by fast.

Got to the airport and was greeted by our limo driver that Fred from the 4-Queens sent for us. Nice ride downtown to start our stay at the 4-Queens. Got checked into suite around 12:30 am. Dropped off luggage and headed over to Fitzgeralds for a couple of beers and to see some friends at the bar. Stayed for a couple of hours and then went back to 4-Queens for sleep. My wife and I gambled mainly at 4-Queens during the day and spent our evenings over at Fitzgeralds. Every Friday and Saturday was spent listening to The Speaks Brothers, usually with Robert and Sandy(Varanus1) from another board i go to. Robert got a couple of cool pictures of us all up on stage doing shots with my normal tip i give the guys.

Now the gambling was bad for the first 5 days and then i finally hit for $2500 on a 5-star dollar machine. That brought me back to about even. Never hit any thing to big after that. $300 here and $400 there but by the time i hit it we had already spent that much so it didn't put me in the plus. Went to do some laundry one day and while my wife was doing that i went into "PT'S pub" next door and played some video poker. Hit qaud aces twice and two other 4oak's. Cashed out up $225. My wife hit qaud aces also and cashed out $125 up. Not bad for stopping in for a few beers.

Food: After all the times i've been there i finally had the shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate. Had that alot after that. Usually before we stumbled back to our room. Went to Toby Keiths"I Love This Bar And Grill". It was pretty good. I had the catfish and enjoyed it. We met up with Robert and Sandy and their daughter on the 4th of July for dinner at the Palace Station and i really liked my Lobster there. Thanks you two. Me and Annie enjoyed it. Their daughter reminded me of mine. She is really soft spoken. I thought it was just me until Robert said "Am i deaf or the only one that can't hear you". I wanted to die laughing because i never heard a word she said the whole time at dinner, but i didn't want to embarrass her so i didn't laugh or say anything. Me and my wife ate at Limericks one night. Bruce the casino manager at Fitzgeralds set us up to eat there. I of course had the twin Lobster tails and Annie had Steak and Shrimp and enjoyed it. The bill i think was just over a hundred, but all i had to do was sign for it. Left a $20 tip and was on our way.

We stayed over at Fitzgeralds for our second half of the stay. I know this didn't all happen in the sequence that i am describing but like i said being there for so long i knew it wouldn't. Know on our last Friday there at Fitzgeralds we had alot of people that wanted to see the dress that caused such a stir on our last trip. My wife wasn't even going to wear it but we had quite a group that wanted to see it so she finaly went back to the room to put it on. By midnight i remember Rick calling for security and jokingly saying "Hell half of them are hanging out over there" We had a few gaurds and the head of security, all off duty hanging out after work. Bruce the casino Manager got up on stage and did a few songs with the guys on base. I seem to remember getting a couple fifths this night and drinking with the band. This kinda explains when everyone was talking about this lady that was abnormally large on the upper half of her body. And someone mentioned her being pierced. So i casually walk over and say "So i hear your pierced", man, she didn't bat an eye and just dropped her top. As stunned as i was,i just casually said "Thank you" and walked back over to my group. EJ the ex DJ from Fitz came down both weekends and hung out. He brought along one of the guys from the Drifters(They are an act that plays the showroom at the Fitz) He could only hang one night though. He said i got him to drunk and he was off in his show the next night.HehHehHeh.

I know more happened but it all blends together. I think from now on we are going do start doing shorter trips. I almost forgot. I'm sorry i didn't make it to the meet on the 2nd. I really wanted to because you guys sound like a fun bunch to party with. Didn't get in until 10 that morning and i didn't get back into the parting mood untill about 9:30 that night. So i wanted to say sorry, I will try again the next time. Thanks for reading this scrambled mess i'm calling a Trip report.
