Dollar Express users- question

I normally use Alamo kiosk to avoid the lines. My upcoming trip May 17-24 it is considerably less to use Dollar. I've signed up for Dollar Express, and I vaguely understand you can avoid the counter line and go straight to the garage. Can I use this on a pay later reservation to avoid the line? I've clicked pay not, which only charges the rental fee not the taxes and it states the taxes will be collected at the counter when arrive. It's leading me to believe I may have to stop at the long line counter.

If there's any frequent users of Dollar express, what is the protocol? Do they just take you card in the garage and swipe it much like Alamo does when you use Kiosk?

 

We use Dollar frequently and always "pay later." Make sure you're logged in as an Express member when you make the reservation, then you just head to the garage kiosk where they'll have your name on a monitor, along with the stall number of your car. Lately they've just been telling us to grab any car from a certain row/section. Safe travels and good luck!

You may want to call and check about the situation if it's your first rental with Dollar. It's been a few years since I rented a car at LAS, but when I did, I used Dollar. I joined Dollar Express when I originally signed up and before my first rental. The had the display board thing in the garage at that point, but I think I had to go to the counter for the first one because they had to verify and scan my driver's license. Maybe the security check when you're exiting covers that, I dunno.
