We reserved a room with two queen beds at the Linq. Will they charge extra for two extra people in our room? Does housekeeping come daily to check on towels and linens? do we have to ask for extra towels and washcloths? Thank you

A famous saying from back in the day applies here:

    "Don't ask, don't tell." :D

But don't be silly and add all 4 names to the room. :rolleyes2: Otherwise you will be fine. Many college folks have done this decades before you.

Honestly, no one even cares at most hotels in the US, especially in Vegas. Even my hosts who know I travel with my family every trip just book the reservation for 1 or 2 adults most of the time, even though they know there's usually 3-4 people in the 2BR suite.

It’s been a long time since I was in the situation of putting 4 to a room, but back then they never charged the extra even when putting all 4 names on room. You never know these days though.

Those rooms fit way more than four people.

Hell, the Cosmo bungalows technically fit a max of 6 people, but we've had way more than that staying in there at a time.

If you try booking it with 4 people, you'll see that they charge $25 per additional person if you book it that way. ;)

It's been my experience the Linq doesn't do daily housekeeping.

You would need to call down and ask for additional towels.

the hotel has no idea if you have one person, 4 people or 10 in the room unless YOU notify them.

Max occupancy 4. Booked for 2.
    You get 2 keys.
    Don’t ask don’t tell.

Is it just for a couple of nights?
Ask housekeeping for more towels. Nicely.
    A tip wouldn’t hurt.

Only if you tell them. No matter what I always ask for 4 keys.

So they really charge for this crap now? I had 5 in a room once. They didn’t even charge for a roll in. Guess it’s not like that no more?

They have always charged if you booked a paid room with that many people in a room. Though I don't know how it is/was handled if you had booked a comp room though.

As far as I know from my past 24 years of Vegasing, hotels charged for a roll away, but sometimes that charge could be removed by the desk and most likely from a host if play was decent enough.

Flirt with the kiosk a little and they'll look the other way.

Is this a Vegas rule or everywhere? When I first started renting hotel rooms 40 years ago two queen beds were supposed to accommodate four persons. If you didn’t want to share beds the roller bed was always extra.

    Depends on the hotel.

It's pretty standard in Vegas though to charge more after the 2nd person, and quite a bit more actually.

Don’t tell but remember that you need a key card to make the elevator work. Just communicate with your people and you will make it work.

Fun fact only because I checked today for BF deals and this post came to mind:

Venetian/Palazzo is asking for another $50 per person/night (if you have more than 2 people in the room).:mad::mad:

Screw that! Pack the folks into that Linq room @crazy44vegas .

I've never had an issue getting 2 keys per person on the reservation. If you book for 2 people, you will be able to get 4 keys. The only real issue is that only the people on the reservation can get replacement keys or be let in if they lose a key, so if one of the other two are forgetful, they would have to wait for someone on the reservation to show up and request some new keys.

Even staying solo, I've found the number of towels insufficient and had to request more, so there is no stigma to asking for extra towels, either.

Just don't party too hard in your room, since they could use extra, undocumented people as an excuse to kick you all out if you get rowdy enough to involve security.
