Do you use the RTC very often when you don't want to drive ? Such as from the airport or getting around town. For me, I'll use the RTC from the airport and to get around town, if I can't get a shuttle. Vegas is a place I've never wanted to rent a vehicle just no desire.

That's how I get around. To get to downtown, South Pointe, whole foods, up and down strip.

With the current rental and ride-share situation I have started using it often. Saves a fortune and once you get the hang of the routes and timing it’s really pretty painless.

I’ll miss the WAX from airport to d/t. Plan on bussing this December unless rental/ride share market comes closer to market equilibrium

We took the CX from the airport to downtown a few weeks ago. It was clean, fast, and I would recommend it for $4 for 2 people.

I use it some - once or twice a trip. I especially like the #119. It heads up to Palace Station where I've made a tradition of eating breakfast at the Oyster Bar. It stops at Wynn/Venetian, Ellis Island and then down to Luxor so I can get from north strip to south strip and it takes Koval so it goes pretty fast (much faster than the Deuce).
I like the Deuce in theory but I never actually have the patience to ride it.

We use it also but does anyone know where to catch the CX to return to the airport from downtown? The roads are a mess (casino center) and I don’t see a bus traveling the old route as is.
There was no sign or notice at the bus stop that I noticed. Thanks.

I used RTC for many years until ride shares became a lot more attractive. Notable exceptions were the WAX between the airport, Suncoast, and downtown and the 202 when going between Gold Coast and Ellis Island. Not being in Vegas since Covid, it's hard to predict future transportation or much else.

I'll use the bus to get to the Strip from LAS (CX route)...and from the Strip to DT, also using the CX bus....AFAIK, going back to LAS or the Strip from DT, I've caught the CX at the bus stop on the eastside of Binions/north of Fremont St....

There is a temporary stop by the lobby entrance of GN, used it Monday with no issues.

The Deuce from Downtown to McCarran stops right behind the D.

I used RTC all the time last month. Went from the airport to downtown , Strip to Sam's Town and then to Downtown. Apart from an awful opera singing woman on one bus had no problems.
Only issue I had was the SB Deuce starting at Walgreens if you are downtown and the signage from RTC was awful. Double check this since my info is a month old.

Do you buy passes on the phone and just show the driver or scan somewhere when you get on a bus.

I'm over 60. I pay $2.50 and get a 24-hour ticket (like a very thin credit card) that I keep in my pocket with my player's cards and cash. I swipe it throughout the day as I jump whatever busses I need.

I buy tickets from the machine at the bus stop before boarding.

Do all bus stops have machines? Taking a longer trip in January, staying off strip. Not sure if the bus stop closest to where I'm staying has them.

I've never used the machines but I do know that they're limited to more major stops. I just get on the bus and ask for a 24-hour pass. I place me senior card against the 'reader' and they ask me to put $2.50 into the meter. If I'm only planning on using the bus once, they ask me for $1.00 (and if I need a transfer, $1.50). I just pay when boarding...exact change needed.
