Cribbage (I am not that good at pegging but I get some lucky runs). My spouse is very good and says they played for money while in the Marine Corp making little money each month fifty years ago.

Scrabble (I love Scrabble and I am good at it)

    Cards Against Humanity (Adults Only)

    Monopoly

Poker (No peeky/deuces wild with grandkids). Low Chicago, Cincinnati, Texas Hold'em

Uno (The reverse card debate caused me to retire the game over a year ago. Stepson In Law lost his mind. We never settled the issue. Wasn't worth destroying the family)

    Yes, here's our favorites:
    1) Life
    2) Stratego - old one from 1982 - my artistic neice had to repaint the characters on the pieces a few years ago..
    3) Pente - again one of the 1980's versions.
    4) Uno
    5) Monopoly (regular version, and Gatoropoly - UF version. )

My love for reading and board gaming comes out of my sickly childhood. I was an always sick asthmatic and always missed school (missed so many days in 3rd grade I had to repeat it..) .

Mom refused to put me in front of a t.v for hours, so it was games or reading.

To this day I love both.

Never thought I would look back fondly on my sick childhood, but I'm grateful for it.

Lots of Cribbage at our house. If the wins are too lopsided we may switch to Rummy 500. Poker or euchre if more people are around but it's usually just me and Lori in the empty nest.

I like Cribbage but my spouse gets annoyed at me since I don't count well or fast. He also gets irritated when I get a lucky monster run. It's still a lot of fun once I get him to play. We haven't played Rummy ever. I might need to check it out.

I forgot about Life. I used to like it but we don't have a set. We both love reading as well.

Risk and Strat-o-matic, along with Monopoly, were the three favorites growing up.

Cards weren't played beyond war and 31, both at the grandparents house.

Let's play Twister, let's play Risk, yeah yeah yeah yeah.....

Cribbage - Youngest son (LilBrew) and I will play and can basically read each others minds. I think because he learned from me we have the same tendencies, Our family will play tournaments at home during the holidays.

Dominos (mexican) - we keep a running score as well and start over each year.

Used to play a lot of Sheapshead growing up but it has been a long time.

    Board game
    Ticket to Ride -

I forgot about Dominoes. Used to play weekly on Friday nights until the wee hours on Saturday. Lots of fun. If you lost you had to get up and let other play. Also there was a domino game called Shoot The Moon. We played it in the detective office when it was a slow crime day. I can't remember how it was played. I will look it up.

Growing up: Rummy, Poker, Pinocle, Euchre/Hasenpfeffer, Hearts, Chess, Checkers, Dominos

Then came Monopoly, Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, etc

Now Old Maid, Rummy, War, Go Fish, Clue, Scattergories, and other board games suitable for 9 and 11 year olds, lol.

Hearts, Spades, and Rummy for the old-timers.

Wow! A lot of Cribbage fans. I've never played it live but I play that, Gin and Dominoes on my tablet.

We don't really play board games unless we have family come in from out of town and then we do Scrabble or play Spades. We did get turned onto a new one: Qwirkle. I guess its a cross between Scrabble and Dominoes. We'll be playing that over the holidays for sure.

I used to play Spades with a group of friends, but since people moved away and got real jobs and all that, we rarely have a foursome to play.

Monopoly Card Game - a lot quicker and requires more strategy than board game version

Sequence - great for playing multiple teams

I hate games lol. But my sister's husband is a game nerd, so we'll all usually get together and play Cards Against Humanity on NYE (it's hilarious with alcohol and my mom).

when i was in jr/sr high out gang played Pitch for hours after it got dark or was a rainy day...
we were to busy having fun outdoors otherwise.....

later i played in a pitch league, cribbage league, then dealt blackjack because others were afraid to deal..

when i worked as a bartender at the Polish club 80 Rummy was the game of choice for a group with
    cribbage teams a close second.

I played tournament Monopoly in college. (I learned to be NASTY at it, nobody now wants to play it with me!) I enjoy playing Clue occasionally.
