Pretty much anytime a cab driver tries to educate me on Vegas

.... also anytime I hear someone repeat a Vital Vegas rumor like it's truth.

And anytime I hear someone say... "you know 'the Strip' isn't even actually in Las Vegas"

BTW, I suggest you don't combine more that $3K of tickets you will have to go to the cashier to cash out.

I'm pretty easy going, not too much bothers me - especially while in Vegas - I don't get there enough to let petty dumb touristy (or local for that matter) shit annoy me.

....except button slappers and screen tappers.

Motherfuck that shit drives me batty. Way past the eye roll stage...

If you're doing the screen tapping thing with some kind of a good luck charm in your hand, and button smashing, I just may fart in your general direction.

Or the middle of the hallway, or at the bottom of the stairs or escalator, or right in front of the elevator. My corollary is the group that walks four or five abreast down the hall or sidewalk like some wedge formation on an NFL game kickoff. Really?

You would think that, by 2019, we would all be on the same page vis-a-vis software and how it works. How-ev-ah....:ssst:

I was shooting craps at the orleans a few years back. This young guy looks to be about 22 at most and seemed to be military, I was 20 years Navy so can always recognize a brother. Anyway, he is clearly trying to impress his girl so he strolls up, drops a $100 on the filed and loses. Walks away mumbling, About an hour later there is is again, I suggested he might just get some $5 chips to make the roll last a while it a fun way, not being a dick, he just looked at me with a smug look and his money was swept away again but his time a couple hundred.

Hell, I started with 200, had that plus a bit in my rack plus a belly full of free beer. Cant tell a grown man what to do obviously but I was trying to recruit him to come party with us, make a few bucks maybe and have some fun.

Another eye roller which i do not mind in the least, is what i call the experimental clothing that women will wear. Usually too short which is a major plus and should be encouraged.

oh GAWD, you don't know how bad I want to knock them down.
even better, when they step off of the escalator, they stop right there and try to plot their next move as if no one is behind them. how fuken stupid can people be?
    I could rant all day.

True. I think the annoyance we've been describing is the person who has 8 TITOS adding up to $70 (example from two months ago). Not the worst thing that's ever happened but a definite eye roll.

We just load them into the last machine we play and generate one ticket to cash at an ATM or cage. Not sure I see the value in totin' around multiple tickets.

This incident occurred at an El Cortez blackjack table back in the 90s when they still had mostly $2 minimum and dollar tokens instead of the $1 chips they have now. It was about 2 am and a family of three sits down at my table where a newbie dealer had just taken over. Before the next hand begins, they each lay down a hundred dollar bill and ask for chips. The dealer asks if they want all red chips and they huddle up to discuss it. The first person states "all silver" and the others echo "me too". My huge eyeroll was exceeded by an even bigger one when the newbie dealer proceeds to accommodate them and starts unloading stacks and stacks of dollar tokens upon the felt. :kill:

I'm OK with most in Vegas, as half of what I love about Vegas is how quirky it is.

My only major eye roles are two:
The first "status" comment. If you have to tell someone how important you are...you're not.

    And

Those who are condescending/rude to the staff for no reason other than to be a turd.

When I'm playing vp and some drunk idiot sits down next to me and starts "explaining" the game. Like because I'm a woman I can't possibly know how to play. And of course his explantation is totally wrong.

I had one guy come up to me and start telling me what to do. Then says, hey you need to play this machine over here. I just hit big.

Me: huge eye roll. Ya I'm happy with this machine. Thanks

    Ugh!

My favorite is when Captain Casino drops a big bet on the Dont Pass, announcing "The odds are better. You're betting WITH the house."

... then follows it up with "Gimme a C&E, $5 on all the hard ways, and hop the hard 10".

Surprisingly, there were enough dollar tokens to cover it. Back then on the $2 tables, bets were mostly "silver dollars" with some red mixed in. Sometimes, you'd see their ugly brown $25 chips in play, but not often. If you dared to leave with enough profit that they colored you up to black chips, you couldn't cash them at the cage without a call to the pit first. Fun times!
